Second floor common room, Tuesday evening

There's nothing to do, so Jaye wanders to the second floor, kicks her feet up on the coffee table, and waits for someone to entertain her.

And someone had better entertain her. Preferrably with antics.

Elizabeth just looked at him.

"You know what."

He swallowed and looked down at the floor, noticing Liz' feet. "Nice shoes," he said quickly.

Elizabeth looked down at her well worn Sketchers, and then back up at Cam. "Nice try."

"Look, I'm sorry if I was..." He stopped. "I'm sorry that I was a complete jackass to you when I was all drunk. I was way out of line."

Elizabeth smiled at him. "Hey, it's okay. I know that there were extenuating circumstances, and when you want to get that drunk, you don't want anyone telling you that you shouldn't be doing that."

"Yeah, something like that." Cameron sighed. "I'm still sorry."

"Apology accepted," Elizabeth nodded seriously. "So we don't need to speak of it again."

"Thanks," Cameron looked relieved. "How are you?"

"Not too bad," Elizabeth replied. "How about you?"

Damn. "Not too bad. How about you?" Cameron grinned.

"Oh, we're not going around in circles like that," Elizabeth laughed.

"Why not?" He asked innocently.

"Because when it comes to word games, I can run circles around you," she winked.

"Oooooooooo, go for it." He grinned.

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "You'll end up regretting it."

"Try me," he was living dangerous after all. Abduct a goa'uld one day, have Liz running aorund him in circles the next day.

Elizabeth spoke at length for about five minutes, like the skilled diplomat she is but I am not.

She grinned at Cam. "How about that?"

Cameron had a glazed look. Realising he didn't know what the hell she had been talking about, he quickly said, "I still like your shoes."

Elizabeth snickered. "I did warn you," she said. "And thank you. They're an old and comfy pair. Well, as old as ones from last September can be."

"Old and comfy is just how I like them," Cameron nods. He's actually telling the truth now.

"Yeah, me too. And flat. Although as a guy, you don't have to deal with potentially neck breaking heels at formal occassions."
