Second floor common room, Tuesday evening

There's nothing to do, so Jaye wanders to the second floor, kicks her feet up on the coffee table, and waits for someone to entertain her.

And someone had better entertain her. Preferrably with antics.

"I only paid seven fifty," she says. "Apparently it's not a very expensive brothel."

"Clearly I'll have to have a talk with him about his sense of self-esteem. Did you at least get your money's worth?"

"Um. I'd say so." Because she kinda lost count of the smacks, and say hi to the mental facepalm.

Archie is kind of enjoying this whole make-Jaye-flail pastime. "Only seven-fifty, you say? I wonder if he's still soliciting?"

"I don't think he's accepting money anymore," she says. Or she didn't ask. Whichever.

"So I could do it for free, then."

"Wait, you could do... what for free?" she asks.

"Smack Cameron's arse." Still smirking.

"Um. He might freak out at that," she says. "I don't think he's one of the yay boykissy slappy types."

"Damn. You made it sound like such fun." Archie heaves a melodramatic sigh, but he can't help smirking even more. "My hopes are dashed. However will I cheer myself up now?"

"I'm sure you'll find some way," Jaye tells him.

"Any suggestions for me?" he asks, the smirk now replaced by a ridiculously silly-looking faux-innocent expression.

"I could come up with a few, but then I wouldn't get any of my homework done," she says. And she'd feel like a massive ho.

"We can't have that, can we?" asks Archie, still with the silly-looking expression. He'd say that about the massive-ho part, too, if he knew.

"Yeah, it'd be good to not flunk out of school," she says seriously.

"Very good," he says just as seriously. "I might miss you."

And with the massive hoeyness. "And we can't have that. So I should probably get started on that," she says, and gets up from her chair to kiss him on the cheek before heading up to the fourth floor.
