Fourth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Bored, Bel wandered down to the common room of his former residence, the fourth floor. He ordered a pizza, and after it arrived, sprawled on the couch and started flipping through the channels. There had to be something worth watching on. Dammit, Vanessa Saturn was a repeat due to the Olympics. Maybe CFD: Detroit would have some sort of cool gruesome murder.

"Well, you'd have to ask her what she thinks of my demon side," Bel said. "But she, uh, she brings out the human in me, so she doesn't see it much."

"Do you like that about her? That she makes you act human?" Blair leaned forward on the chair. "Would you supress the demon side all the time if you spent all your time with her?"

"I can't change what I am," Bel said. "But...she makes me forget sometimes."

"But you can change what you do. Loving her is a choice that you're making that's good. You can make other ones too." Blair tapped his pencil nervously, not sure if this was going too far.

"What I do is part of what I am," Bel said, growing agitated. "Can't exactly ask you to stop breathing, can I? Not a choice you can really make."

"Nope. But you can ask me to stop being Jewish and while it will still be part of my background, I can choose to not observe the lifestyle." Blair put his feet on the floor, totally not preparing to make a break for it or anything.

Blair sighed and stood, gathering his backpack. "I'm trying to. I'm not yelling at you. I'm not angry at you. I'm not even judging you. I'm just trying to understand."
