Pippi is here sprawled on the floor watching crystals grow or not... You know the old saying, "A watched crystal never grows".

She also has a laptop and is listening to some downloads of the new album by a new LA band Butler Fetish.

She's singing along.

Nadia got to the common room out of breath and shaking a photo. She stops and leans against the wall. . . .

Then starts to giggle.

"That song is amazing."

Pippi looks up from the crystals and grins.

"Yeah." she says, "It's an okay band. Whatcha got there?"

Nadia shook her photo a bit more and checked it. It was developing really well. "Just a little something for a present for Veronica,"

"Oh that's nice." Pippi said taking off her headphones and hitting pause on her media player.

"Is it her birthday?"

Nadia shook her head. "She's just been helping me out a lot so I want to help her out, back."

"That's good." she said poking the crystal growing kit as if that would make them grow faster.

"Made any headway with the script?"

Nadia shook her head. "I completely forgot. I got a Spanish copy, but I haven't even looked at it." She peered closer at what Pippi was doing. "What's that?"

"It's a crystal growing kit I got when we went to DC... This one is 'ruby'."

Nadia's eyes went wide. "It grows rubies?"

This? Is why she's failing chemistry.

"I think it's more like... 'I can't believe it's not a ruby'... Or maybe I could... I'll let you know once it's done."

"How long will it take?"

Nadia's not the most patient gal in the world, either.

"Well, I had hopes that it would be done by the time the song was done." she said hitting a key on her computer.

From the headphones on the floor the end of the song blared.
