Second floor common room, Thursday night

Jaye is standing in the common room. Just standing at the moment.

Occasionally she'll do something like jump in place or attempt to juggle to see if that makes her stick to the ceiling. So far, no luck.

"I stick to ceilings," she says, doing a jumping jack. "I don't know why, but I think movement causes it."

"It doesn't seem to be working so far," Xander observed. "Not that I think you should stop jumping."

He stared at Rory's leg, and then, a little squeamishly, reached down and picked it up by the shoe, holding it out to her.

"Thanks," Rory said, her leg wiggling a bit as she took it from him. "I'm getting better, really! And Jaye, what were you doing when you stuck before? Just moving around?"

"I stick to ceilings now. I just don't know how," she says. It's getting easier to explain that.

"Are you sticky?"

Jaye touches the wall. "Nope."

"How did it work before? Just like, doing whatever and then boom, ceiling? How did you get down?"

"Yeah. And then I fell," she says.

Randomly, she jazz handses-

"Ow! Wall!" she yells. From sticking to the wall. At least until she stops jazz handsing.

"Wow. You're stuck to the wall," Xander said helpfully.

Rory stood nice and far away, and poked at Jaye with one of her arms. Held by her other, of course.

As she's not dancing anymore, Jaye can pull herself off the wall. And does so.

"Um."

"Are you magnetic?" Rory wondered.

"No," she says.

And does the YMCA. Hello ceiling.

Doing the YMCA is really really hard while you're stuck to the ceiling, but by god Jaye is trying.

"...does it only happen if you dance?" Rory asked. "If you fall, Xander and I will catch you!"

"I don't... maybe!" she says, trying to kick out a leg but she's stuck to the ceiling, dammit.

"Are you just going to keep dancing until you fall?" Rory asked.

"Define the 'and I' part of that offer?' Xander said, glancing at Rory. "Not gonna be much help if you try to catch her and your arm falls off."

"They wouldn't! They only fall off if I'm not paying attention," Rory insisted. "But you're bigger, anyway, and more likely to be able to catch her."

"On the ceiling, oh my god," Jaye reminds them.

"True. She'd kind of squish you like a stickbug."

"I am indeed wee," Rory agreed. "So I'll move and you catch her?"

Jaye tries to jazz hands.

And can't.

Rory totally skittered out of the way. "Get her Xander!"

Xander rolls his eyes and dives to grab Jaye.

Jaye hits... Xander. And the floor. Not at the same time. At least this time she's not on her face.
