Second floor common room, Thursday night

Jaye is standing in the common room. Just standing at the moment.

Occasionally she'll do something like jump in place or attempt to juggle to see if that makes her stick to the ceiling. So far, no luck.

"Whoops." She grins.

"Frak you," he laughs, poking her in the arm with the bottle before he opens it. "You're not sorry at all."

Kara just laughs and takes a sip. "What's up, Samuel?"

"Not a damn thing, now that I'm done with my classes," Anders says, taking a gulp of his root beer. "Got to run gym class today and introduced some people to Pyramid, though, so that was fun. How 'bout you?"

"Same. No classes on Thursday, so I just take it easy," Kara replies.

Anders nods. "Yeah, that's my Mondays and Wednesdays. We should hit the gym together again sometime, Thrace. I'm starting to get lazy without you pushing me," he adds, nudging her with his elbow.

Kara elbows him back and says, "Mm.. Yeah, I know."

After another mouthful of root beer, Anders elbows her back again. "We should do that sometime soon. Not like, y'know, beating the hell out of each other every day again, but somethin'. Training by myself isn't real challenging, and much as I love working out with Cally I can't really push myself that way either."

He looks over at her and grins. "Nobody kicks my ass like you do."

Grinning, Kara looks over at him and says, "Aaww, Samuel, that almost sounded as if you cared." She sniffs and wipes away an imaginary tear before breaking down into giggles.

Anders eyes her for a couple of seconds, one eyebrow raised, and sips his root beer thoughtfully. "What? Am I not allowed to, or something?"

"Gods, if you're going to get serious, I'm going to leave," she mutters.

"Not serious!" he protests. "Well, I am, but like . . . gods, not like that. Just meant what I said about you kickin' my ass."

"Only because it's true," she says, giving him a grin.

Anders shakes his head and relaxes back into the couch. "Oh, admit it, Thrace," he drawls, smirking just a bit.

"Okay, I admit that I am better than you," she laughs.

Anders's mouth drops open, and he starts cracking up. "Oh, frak you, Thrace! I totally walked into that one."
