Blair scooted a stack of clothes off a chair and sat the box down. "Unpacking on a Friday night? You really are wild. Why don't you call your son and have him come help?"

He fished his swiss army knife out of his pocket. "You could try the corkscrew on here, it should work."

"Thanks, Blair. I have a corkscrew...it's terrific. Graphite. Scientifically engineered and stuff. But this? Will get it done."

She opened the bottle then handed him the knife back before going to her suitcase and retrieving a wine glass wrapped up in an evening gown.

"I'll let Jack be for tonight. I kind of have a routine for a new place. Moving rituals, sort of."

Blair leaned against the door frame and nodded. "I know exactly what you mean. I always find my window, one that's my very own. Sometime's in my room, sometimes it's in the bathroom but when I find it, I sit and look out it until it gets dark enough that I can see my own reflection sitting inside." He sighed happily. "Then I know that I'm home."

"That's a great way to do it. Me? I hang up all my clothes and arrange all my photographs. Make it my space. So hey, what are you doing just hanging out down here? I doubt you were just waiting around to help me."

"That's a cool way to do it!"

Blair bounced. "I'm tutoring Molly in her classes and since I have to work tonight at the theater, I'm taking her along with me. It never gets really busy there."

"Yeah...maybe if they showed better movies. I went and watched something about giant bugs. It was, um, mockable."

She quirked her mouth into a strange half smile, "Blair? Are you ok? You're kind of hyper."

"You know what's weird? I think the owner likes the fact that the movies are so bad."

Blair tilted his head. "Okay? I'm fine. Um...I'm sort of always like this!" He bounced and smiled.

"Somehow, that wouldn't surprise me. He didn't seem too upset at me throwing popcorn at the screen."

Pouring her glass half full, she cocked her head, "Hey. You might be interested. I'm in the prelim stages of starting a Peace Club."

Blair grinned. "Yeah, he doesn't have a problem with that at all. I'm the one who has to clean up at the end of the night."

"Really? Oh man, we need one of those here! There's just an overabundance of violence around here sometimes. So are you in charge of it? What needs to be done to help it along? Do you need any help?" He took a deep breath and bounced.

She winced and didn't even try to hide it. "I'm sorry. I couldn't help it. It really, um, yeah...it sucked."

She blinked, then did it again. "Sure, Blair...that's why I mentioned it."

"It's okay. I actually don't mind sweeping up popcorn. Brooms are sorta medatative. Kinda like Yoga!"

"Awesome! Let me know anything you need, and I'll be ready to help." He paused. "Except for tomorrow. I 'won' the detention lottery, so I'll be busy all day."

"You do Yoga too?" more than a little stunned, she shook her head and smiled. "Wow, Blair. You're a constant surprise. Hey, who's got detention? Professor Pierson did it last week and they made beer."

"I try and do Yoga when I can, but you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a quiet space in this school. I ended up meditating in my closet last week!"

"I don't know who's doing detention this week, but I'm actually kinda excited! There might be this whole deliquent subculture that I can observe and take notes on...maybe even write a paper!"

"When I ran detention they were less delinquents and more...um...people who like to sleep in."

She furrowed her eyebrows, not entirely comfortable with the thought of no silence.

"You meditated in your closet? That's...awful. I hope it's not so loud I can't do it in here. I'm kind of used to waking up and spending at least a half hour before I shower."

Blair looked around. "The first floor should be pretty quiet and the morning is way quieter. If I could make myself wake up early I would so meditate in the morning! You must have a lot of willpower!"

"Why does everyone say that? I get up at five every day. I have for years...it's habit. Don't you have any habits Blair? Anything that you need some self discipline for?"

"Getting up early everyday may seem normal for you, but most people see it as something they're not strong enough to do. People probably admire you for it!"

Blair grinned and pointed at his long curls. "Yeah..these require a lot of self discipline. And conditioner."

"You have great hair. I can tell you take care of it. Hey, what time are you meeting Molly?"

Blair looked at his watch. "Pretty soon, actually. Is there anything else you need before I go?"

Looking around, she cleared a spot and set her glass down. "Not really. As much as I like help, some stuff I've gotta just do alone, you know? Thanks a lot, though."

Blair smiled and grinned. "Yeah, man, I understand that." He bounced out into the hallway and waved before walking off. "Welcome home"
