Rory made her way up from the memorial and found a Jacques Cousteau documentary on the television.

She solemnly began to watch, attempting to feel actual sorrow over a fish.

It didn't quite take.

Parker's snickering. But she's also checking to make sure Rory's limbs stay attached this time.

Unfortunately Rory was so busy watching Bridge and Jaye that she lost an arm.

"Damn it."

Parker gingerly picked it up by the elbow, and held it out to Rory. "Your limbs are very emotional, aren't they?"

"They drop off if I'm not paying attention. Or really distracted," Rory said, frowning and reattaching it. "Dunno what happened just now, though."

"You're broken now," says Jaye innocently.

"I am indeed a someone broken," Rory said. "Falling apart, too. Someone should hold me, or something. That song was seriously written for my situation."

"I could hug you."

"I think I'm okay. Or you could dance and amuse me by sticking to things."

Jaye stands up.

"Maybe I can make myself stick to the wall," she says. And does a little jig.

She's already wincing before she hits the wall, and so it doesn't hurt as bad. "Ooh. I should fight crime."

Rory bit her lip.

"How?"

"I don't know, but there has to be something," she says.

Her eyes go wide. "Oh my god. I need to go in on a Mission Impossible thing and just start boogying when the bad guys come in so I can be all 'whoop, ceiling' and they never know I'm there."

"Like a ninja! Except not a scary one. Oh em gee, we could be like Becky and Miho! Except again, not scary. Or whorey. And in color," Rory said.

"We need to do this," Jaye decides. "We will fight crime and discover boykissy rooms together."

"Yes! And we can eat pie, too, because I understand that is something ninjas do often," Rory agreed.

She thinks about this. "Black washes me out a little, though. We need to be colorful ninjas."

Rory flailed at herself. "Hello, so pale I practically glow in the dark. I think a nice pink or blue. Or possibly many colors. Ooh! And glittery!"

"I look good in orange," she says brightly. "And definitely glitter. Glitter ninjas!"

"See, orange is bad on me. So you can be orange and I'll do blue or red or something," Rory nodded. "And I have lots and lots of glitter to use."

"This makes me happy," says Jaye.

Parker's not Jaye, but this has happened a couple times too recently in front of her. Still, a skeptical "Uh-hunh," is all she limits herself to.
