In the courtyard - Saturday afternoon
Rory took a few minutes away from her various books and study aids and research materials to take a peaceful, soothing, limbs-optional walk through the courtyard.
Sadly, she was Vladdie-less, as the poor puppy had never been a big fan of sunlight, being vampiric and all.
As she passed by a large puddle, she popped her arm in and out of its socket. Just because she could.
[ooc: Locked at the moment to certain, um, beings. Though really, nothing's stopping your character from wandering through. Just know that if you try to interfere with the action, said...beings will ignore you in favor of Rory, and Ror herself will shoo you away.]

Sensors had been placed to find the ones to blame: He Who Killed RT and the one known as his 'Sidekick'. Five minutes ago, the sensors had indicated the presence of The Sidekick. Warriors rushed to their ships. An appropriate entry point near The Sidekick was found for translation into the Earth realm. She would be taken hostage and forced to lead them to He Who Killed RT.

Quietly, bubbles began to appear in the puddle near Rory. It was entirely possible that she didn't even notice. Slowly, the bubble began to rise out of the water to form spheres of crystal clear water. Right before they were fully formed, small shiny forms swam up into each sphere and the bubble pulled away from the surface of the puddle of muddy water. As the spheres began to rise above the puddle, more bubbles formed to take their place. More and more spheres rose into the air until there was a small glittery, golden horde hovering over the puddle. They began to approach Rory as more bubbles were still forming in the puddle behind them.

She waved. "Hi."
Because this is Fandom, after all.

Finally, one ship popped out of the puddle, pulling another smaller sphere behind it on a tether. There wasn't anything noticeably different about the small gold fish inside the lead bubble, but the smaller bubble appeared to have an odd device inside it.
As this odd pair approached Rory, other ships moved aside to let it pass. Where any two ships came in contact, the two bubbles would merge, the two fish would swim around together for a bit and then the ships would separate again with a small audible pop.
A small, watery voice was heard coming from the device in the tethered bubble. "You are The Sidekick."

And did one of them just talk?
"Um. Does this have to do with Professor Tick?" she ventured, using those amazing deductive skills of hers.
She tentatively reached a finger out to poke at one of the bubbles.

The other warriors looked on in horror as the small gold fish flopped around.
The fish in the ship tethered to the translator flew toward Rory's face is a rage. "Tell us how to find He Who Killed RT immediately and we may yet let you live."

She raised an eyebrow. "And what are you going to do to me, exactly?"

The leader ignored all this as it followed Rory closely. "We will not believe your human lies. RT died at the hands of her captor as shall you if you do not comply with our demands."

She rolled her eyes. "I guess I could call him, or something, if you really want."

The warriors in their ships, meanwhile, had gotten themselves all sorted out and were now flying around Rory giving her little fishy glares. They would be ready if she tried to destroy any more ships.

She hit 9 on speed dial, and held it out for the wee fishie to speak into.

Oblivious to all this, the leader spoke into the phone. /We have taken your sidekick as our prisoner. You will answer for your crimes against out scout or the human female will die a horrible death./

"Okay, you fishie fiends! Promise me that no harm will come to Rory and I'll meet with you! But be warned. You face... The Tick!"

"Spoooooon!" He arrived carrying a cup of coffee for Rory. "Hello, there, aquatic villains!" He held up the cup. "Rory, I brought this for you."

The leader swooped up out of reach above The Tick. /Warriors! Attack!/ It screamed out in fishie rage.
Without even thinking about it, all of the ships flew toward The Tick.

The fish warriors flew toward The Tick in a kamikaze attack attempting to overwhelm him by sheer force of numbers. Many flew in screaming faint battle cries. /For the honor of RT!/, /Death to the drylanders!/, /Fishkind over all!/, /I'm too pretty to die!/, etc.
As they struck him, each ship popped and the fish fell to the ground. Soon, The Tick was very wet and standing in a pile of flopping goldfish.
This only enraged the leader further. Yelling incoherently, it drove its ship directly at The Tick's head. The ship crashed into one of The Tick's antennae and the leader ended up flopping around on top of The Tick's head. /You'll pay!/ it cried. /Others will come. These were just our light assault ships. We have weapons in our arsenal that will bring you to your knees!/

The puddle though, was not quiet. It started to bubbled furiously. Out of the roiling mass of bubbles, a large shape appeared. As it rose out of the muddy water, it became apparent that it was a large aquarium. Once it was completely clear of the puddle and had begun to maneuver about, one could also see the outboard motor attached to one end.

He dropped the leader in the tank and grabbed the aquarium with one arm. "Don't need this," Tick said, pulling the motor off. "I don't know what that was needed for anyway. Okay, fish! Hang in there! Here's a whole bunch of water for you!"
He hurried over and started tossing the fallen goldfish into the aquarium, hoping they hadn't died yet. "SPOOOOON!"

The Tick looked at the aquarium. "Well, first things first, we have to change the water. That stuff is DIRTY! Then we can replace the filter. Maybe get a nice base for you to sit on. You'll look great in the lobby!"
Still holding the aquarium in one arm, he headed back towards the dorms to get this work done.
