Common room 2nd floor, after 16:00 until he's dragged off

A quick shower after work and an extra long shave to make sure all is smooth, and Cameron is in the common room trying to figure out what omelette to make. He's wearing blue jeans (he's only got two colours and he's pretty sure this one isn't black), a shirt that's either white or yellow (he really hopes it's white) and no socks because socks are evil. Also, he's nervous but it's not a date so that's just stupid.


((Yes, he's kinda meeting up here with someone but it really is open for everyone.))

Jaye might be a little nervous, not-date or... not, but she's ignoring it. Completely. So she's not hanging back at all when she says, "Hey."

"Yo," he looks up and smiles at her. "So how do you like your omelette?" He asks because it's probably the safest topic they've discussed for a week now.

"Um. Edible's a good start," she says.

"This is one of the few things I'm actually good at," Cameron says and holds up two eggs. "You could just trust me?"

Jaye smiles. "I can do that." She might not be talking about the food.

"Good," he might not be talking about food either, but he does turn around and starts on the omelette.

Jaye finally comes over, and leans against the counter. "We've gotten talkative, huh?"

He chuckles and glances at her. "Yeah, I think it's starting to sink in what we agreed to." He replies honestly.

"Having second thoughts?" she asks slowly.

"No," the omelette safe for now so he turns his attention towards her and touches her arm. "No, I'm just new to the flinging thing."

"I'm not used to it, either," she admits, and adds, "But that doesn't mean I don't want to..."

"So we both get to do a new thing," he grins as he turns back to the cooking. "Should be fun."

"I would hope so..."

"You're gonna give me performance anxiety," he jokes for the most part.

She smiles and says, "I dunno. I think we could manage it."

Satisfied with the omelette he puts it on a plate. "Uh huh, you made me see colour yesterday."

"So.... what's up with that?" she asks. "It comes and goes?"

"I have no clue," Cameron puts the plate on the table. "It first came on when I was with Izzy in the lounge, then just sorta went away. When it came back again in class, it kinda stuck around until the err... kissing part and it came back after I dumped the bag so... I guess?"

Jaye takes the seat and grins, "Are you seeing in monochrome now?"

"Uh yeah," he looks down at his shirt. "Please tell me I'm wearing white."

"Yeah," she says. And smiles, "I made you see in color." She doesn't know why she's proud of that.

"You want that in writing?" He asks as he moves back to quickly whip himself up an omelette too.

"I don't think I'll need it," she says, grabbing her fork and still smiling. "I just have bragging rights now."

"Ever heard of kiss and don't tell?" He shakes his head.

"I'm not putting out an ad in the newspaper," she says. "Hm."

"Just the radio?" He laughs and picks up the towel lying nearby and throws it at her.

She swats at it and puts it on her lap like a napkin. "Maybe," she says. "Wonder what else makes you see in color."

"Hmmmm, we could experiment a bit." He's definitely grinning as he puts the omelette on a plate and takes a seat beside her.

She bumps his shoulder with hers a little and asks, "Just a bit?"

"The evening is still very very young," he points out and resists the urge to do something underneath the table and starts eating instead.

Kind of wondering if they're doing this right, Jaye says, "Good food."

Cameron has no clue if there's a right way to do this. "Told yah you can trust me."

"Told you I do," she counters, lightly kicking at his leg under the table.

"Good," he says, puts his fork down and pokes her in the side.

She squirms a little at that, but knocks her knee against his and kind of leaves it there. Not intentionally, she just does.

It definitely moves his attention away from any thoughts of food and this time he doesn't resist and simply puts his hand on her knee. "So..."

She looks down at his hand, and smiles. "So."

He has no clue what to say. "Good omelette." Which is kinda pathetic, but he bumps shoulders with her and maybe his hand moves just a little bit higher.

"Yeah," she says, and puts a hand over his to move it just a little bit higher.

"Still hungry?" He asks softly as he turns his head and nuzzles her cheek. He slowly starts drawing random patterns on her leg.

Jaye tilts her face towards his and murmurs, "I think we can move on from that."

"Thirsty?" He chuckles and kisses the corner of her mouth.

She turns her head again a little to kiss him on the lips. "We can probably skip that, too, if you want."

"Right on to dessert?" He tilts his head and kisses her jaw and maybe his hand moves just a little bit higher. "I can live with that."

"We might want to think about moving this elsewhere," she says, moving to kiss his cheek, and his jaw, and his neck.

"You lead, I'll follow." He hums in approval and pulls back enough to capture her mouth with his.

For a minute she's content just kissing him back, then backs away and takes his hand. "Okay."
