2nd Floor Common Room [Saturday Evening]

Bridge is sitting on the couch, writing in a notebook. The TV is currently on with the volume turned down to just-barely-audible.

If anyone were to interrupt him? Well, said interruption would actually be welcome.

[ooc: *giggles* Also, if you have a pet? Bring them by too, if you won't object to a very minor bit of petmodding on my part ;)]

Rory came down the stairs and into the common room with a tank.

Inside the tank? Bitty green turtle.

And Rory? Not looking her best - though one might call her preoccupied or distracted-looking at worst.

"Hi, Bridge," she said quietly, giving him a small smile. "How are you?"

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yoda's not looking his happiest anymore, either.

Rory stared. "I see that, Bridge. Why? He doesn't fly. At least, he shouldn't. I don't think Anakin would be able to do some kind of Force-tricky thing to make him fly around on his own. And what's with the menagerie, anyway?" she added, gesturing to Min and Pup.

"You'd have been handy today. I had fishies swarming me," Rory noted. "Too bad Vladdie's asleep. Are they actually stuck? Or are they just...staying there?"

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
"Um. I'm going to need Yoda back," Rory ventured. "He's kind of not mine, and all."

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Want me to try?" Rory offered, cautiously approaching. "I think he's, um, going to sleep, so we might want to move quickly. But I could be wrong. Not my turtle. I'm not tuned to his needs or whatever."

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
Rory set the tank down, and with a look around, carefully gripped Yoda as gently as she could with both hands, and gave a quick tug.

Which resulted in her falling backwards on her butt.

And her arms staying attached to the turtle, until she relaxed and they fell off to Bridge's sides.

"Sorry, Bridge," she said, blushing.

"Need a hand?" Peter asked, because he had to.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Lame," Rory said from the floor. "And I can do it myself, but if you could hand me at least one of them, it'd be nice."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:40 am (UTC)(link)
"So handing you an arm will give you a leg up?" Peter asked. Because he really did have to.

He moved over to the tank carefully, hoping to not be pulled back towards Bridge. He grabbed an arm, looked at it strangely, and gave it to Rory. "By the way, that is by far the most DIS.GUST.ING thing I have ever done for a friend, so you'd better appreciate it. Because, oh my god, I'm holding your arm and it's not attached to you. Gah!"

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I have no idea why they're doing this," Rory sighed, taking the arm and reattaching it. "Thanks. The legs do it too. I blame either being cursed or else scary pizza. Or something." She quickly retrieved her other arm and poked it into place, rolling her shoulder a little.

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Please never do that in front of me again," Peter said. "Duct tape, staples, chewing gum, whatever. Just keep them on, okay?"

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm trying!" Rory said. "I haven't shown off at all today. That was an accident. But, um, don't come into the library when I'm trying to reach stuff, in that case."

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
Walter didn't blanch. Still, it was creepy. But he had his dog loose and was going to make a break for it before they had to pry Pup loose again.

Definitely going in his observation notebook, though.

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
"But I like going to the library. You're really taking that away from me? You're mean," Peter said, shaking his head.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh huh," Rory said skeptically. "I'll try to hold back while you're there, then."

She strode over to Bridge, concentrated on keeping her limbs on, and braced a foot against the couch as she tugged. Yoda came cleanly off his head. "Score. Going to bed now. I shouldn't have been out here to begin with. Night, all!"

Zero turned a little green. "That? Still creepy."

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
"I know. Unintentional this time, sorry," Rory apologized.

"Could...could your head come off?" Zero really isn't sure she wants to find out, but she feels like she has to ask.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Nope, already tried," Rory assured her.

"Oh, thank squall."
