2nd Floor Common Room [Saturday Evening]

Bridge is sitting on the couch, writing in a notebook. The TV is currently on with the volume turned down to just-barely-audible.

If anyone were to interrupt him? Well, said interruption would actually be welcome.

[ooc: *giggles* Also, if you have a pet? Bring them by too, if you won't object to a very minor bit of petmodding on my part ;)]

"Yeah. With the animals. And the sticking." This was so strange that a lack of eloquence seemed to be going around. "I think I need to find a minimum safe distance from you. Because, don't get me wrong, I like you as a friend, but I'm just not attracted to you in anything but a magnetic or maybe gravitational sense."

"Maybe Bridge has a suddenly dense gravitational field?" This does not explain why Zero, who is kind of wee, is not, like, stuck to his back or something.

"No, I think it's an animal thing," Peter said. Then he hoped that Zero would accept the scientific explanation without being creeped out by the implications, whatever those may be. "The whole spider thing with me." He turned away slightly, kind of embarrassed by his genetic creepiness.

"Oh." Zero doesn't seem phased. "Huh, that's odd, 'cause we're all technically animals and okay, shutting up now. C'mere, Fishy." She grabs the bird's legs and pulls, ignoring the way Fish's wings beat against her face. "Victory!" This time she's keeping a tight grip on the bird, dammit. "So you've got, like, spider DNA? Swerval."

"My DNA got mutated, but I'm still not really sure what specifically happened. There's probably some spider genetic coding in there somewhere, which is both really kind of fascinating and increasingly disturbing every time I think about it," Peter said.

"But, yay, you got your bird!"

"He's unstuck, yay!" Fish flapped around a bit more, quite put out by the way Zero was gripping his legs, not to mention the way he was horizontal and attempting to drift toward Bridge. "Superpowers are always swerval--I mean, unless you were the victim of evil scientists or something like in the comics...oh, I probably wasn't supposed to talk about that."

"Evil scientists are the worst," Peter said in a tone that might have indicated that he knew what he was talking about.

"Okay, I think I really have to get away from Bridge. This is getting annoying." Peter waved and watched his hand point back at Bridge. "Bye Bridge! Bye, Zero," he said with a grin.

"Bye, Peter! See you later?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-26 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Of course," Peter said. "Well, not 'later' because it's kind of late already but tomorrow, I'm sure."
