Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

After leaving a note for Cally to tell her to come up and find him when she gets up, Anders clanks his way up the stairs to the third floor, baking paraphernalia and cupcake makings in hand (well, in bags really). There's actually nobody in his common room for once, but he's not taking the chance on the huge audience that inevitably seems to congregate in there anyway.

Because there is cupcake baking about to happen here, and he doesn't feel like having his floormates witness his humiliation. Which of course means some of them will probably find their way up here.

Anders sets out all his ingredients, unpacks the brand new mixer, washes the mixing bowl and cupcake tins, and then settles in to stare at the baking directions for a while.

Maybe they'll make sense after a bit.

"The toaster doesn't like her so it blows up when she tries to make toast?"

"All toasters don't like me," Cally says. "It's just something that happens. Frakkin' toasters."

"Bizzare. Maybe it's something about where you're from? Like, do the toasters hate you or Lee or Kara or Anders? But not Sharon and Biers?"

"Nope, just me. I'm a toaster killer." Cally shrugs. "It kinda sucks. 'Cause I like toast."

"Yeah... but you need to pay attention to your cupcakes... I'll clean up the toaster mess." Cally scuffs the floor with her toe. "Sorry, champ."

"Naw, I'm okay. I'll just... give this thing a proper burial, or something," Cally says, picking up the broken toaster pieces and dropping them in the trash. "Frak you, toaster. No one loved you either," she says. "There, that's a good eulogy."
