Dorm Roof, Wednesday Evening

Yes, he could be doing homework or unpacking, but that would be, well, work.

Pip was on vacation.

He leaned back in the deck chair he had brought up to the roof and took a long drag on his cigarette. After balancing it on a nearby ashtray, he strummed his guitar.

Yes, technically this was the Official Brooding Zone, but quite frankly, he didn't particularly care.

Anyone who wanted to brood up there would have to put up with him playing lively Irish folk tunes.

[[Open for all your roof-y needs. That's roofy. As in roof-esque. If you really need the drugs, Jay and Silent Bob are back and should be hanging out near the Kwik Stop.]]

The first thing Nadia had done had been to check on Furrball. But staying in her room, after wandering around London? Wasn't going to happen. So she headed for the roof.

She was pleasantly surprised to find Pip up there with his guitar.

"Hey, Pip."

"Yeah, I am." Nadia seemed somewhat surprised by this. It was new to realize she thought of Fandom as 'home'. "You?"

"I know. It's good to see my cat again, too." Nadia grabbed a seat at the edge of the roof. "And you're right about the food. Except the curry. I liked that."

"Hyper, as usual." Nadia sat facing Pip and watched him as he played. She'd missed some days practicing when she'd been abroad, and was surprised to realize that she'd actually missed it. "What is French food like?"

Nadia nodded. Argentine culture had some French influence along with the Spanish. "I haven't had your crepes. It sounds good, though. I should cook for everyone some night."

Nadia grinned. "Maybe this week. It's spring break, so I'd have plenty of time. Do you like spicey food?"

Nadia shrugged. "I don't know. Everyone was making faces at the breakfast I made in shop class. But they're all in love with twinkies, so what can you do?"

"Guess not." Nadia started making plans. They included a lot of hot peppers and tobasco.

And possibly chocolate chips.

There was, as Pip said, no accounting for taste.

"Maybe I can make something tomorrow night."

Nadia took a deep breath. "Until we went to London? Yes. I forgot to bring it with me." She shrugged. "I almost played a song before we left, though. All the way through, even."

Nadia paused, but only for a second. "Maria tenía un pequeño cordero" she said. "It's, um, an Argentine folk song."

"Hear it?" Nadia attempted to pale and blush at the same time. It had an interesting affect on her complexion. "But I haven't practiced in awhile. I'm . . . I can't. I'm too nervous!"

That? Nadia might be able to do. "Yeah, okay." She quickly ducked into the dorms and came back with the guitar. "Might take me a little bit to tune it, though."

[ooc: and I'm heading to bed. Night!]
