Pippi is sitting here in a large nest of what appears to be nautical grade canvas. She has a ponderously large set of shears which she is using to cut large swaths of the cloth.

She then either hems them or stitches them to other large swaths of cloth.

Her laptop is on the table and is playing her Butler Fetish CD.

Pip poked his head in, his guitar hanging from his shoulder by it's strap. "What is that music and what are you doing?"

"It's 'Butler Fetish'." She said looking up from her sewing. "It's a band I found on the internet."

The song continued.

"I'm making a sail for my boat." Pippi explained, holding up the part she was working on. "Have a seat. I could use the company."

Pip shrugged and sat down, plucking at the strings of his guitar tunelessly. "Why doesn't your boat already have a sail?"

"Well, it was a spare boat to begin with." she explained as she continued to stitch the hem by hand with a curved needle.

"We kinda... got it off another ship."

"Much in the same way I got my AK-47 off another mercenary company," Pip said. "Got any big plans for this boat?"

"Very likely." she said with a grin, "Only with less shooting and more tickling and pushing overboard... Not that there's anything wrong with shooting."

She rearranged the mass of canvas around her to get a fresh stretch of edge to hem.

"Yes, I have very big plans. I'm going to start a business! As the weather gets nicer I'm going to offer three hour tours and sunset picnics provided by Cafe Fina."

"Sounds pretty cool. Have you talked it over with Alfred yet?" As if I didn't know.

"Yes, we discussed pricing over tea." she said leaning against the front of the couch.

"And Agatha made me a great picnic rig that Walter or Alfred can use to prepare meals for very high end clients. All I need to do is finish the sail, build the mast and probably get some kind of licence from town hall."

"And wait for the weather to clear up," Pip said, lighting a cigarette. "Who's Agatha?"

"That too." she nodded. "Agatha Clay. She's this brilliant lady who owns Sparky Repairs in town! I'm thinking about going back there tomorrow if you'd like to come with. And at some point soon, I'm going to railroad Walter into preparing something on the picnic rig she made... You know... To test it out... To be safe... And stuff."

Grin.

"Sure," Pip said. "Sounds pretty cool. I hadn't even heard of Sparky Repairs before. Is she the one that makes all the bot things I've been seeing around?"

"Yup." she replied, "That's what I was going to see her about. I think I may want her to make me one. A sort of 'look-out' or 'watcher'. Something that could either sit up in a little crows nest and keep and eye out for hostile ships on my boat, or keep an eye on cooking pancakes and let me know when they need flipping!"

Fold fold fold, pin pin pin, stitch stitch stitch.

"I realize this goes against our general 'robots suck' platform, but those little guys are just so cute!"

"Versatile little buggers," Pip said. "And I'm willing to let robots slide provided they aren't actively trying to kill me. Those robots are alright with me. Any robots where you come from?"

"I can't say that I'd never heard of them before comming here... But I'd only ever encountered just the one."

"Huh," Pip said. "Before coming here, I only ever saw 'em in movies and stuff. Never thought I'd have one as a teacher." He yawned. "Well, I'm sorry Me-pi, but I'm about to fall asleep wehre I stand. I'll catch ya later. Bonne nuit."

Pippi wondered which teacher was a robot and if they sucked.
