The gym is in it's usual set up with Alanna sitting by the cookies and drinks.

"You all know the drill. Pair up, try to hit the other person. Next week we'll be working on something a little unusual so try to wear long sleeves and any kind of arm gaurds, if you have them. Gloves will also be good. Have at it."

MOO, damnit MOOOOOO!

Blair signed in, helmeted and ready to go!

"So, how does this work?" Blair bounced excitedly. "I worked with Angel a bit and got the basics down. The stuff like falling and going limp. What's the next step?"

Alanna blinked at Blair. "Taking the helment off of your head."

Blair stared at her and shrugged, unsnapping the helmet and stuffing it in his backpack. "Alright, now what?"

Tick was here. "Hello!" he would say to anyone who stopped by.

You know, in the comic, Tick was allies with a Man-Eating Cow.

Faithful had the urge to play with the Ticks antenna.

"Okay, falling and going limp you did. How about what to do when there's a punch or a kick being aimed at you?"

"The falling part was when for when someone was punching me. You just fall down!" Blair demonstrated quickly and then bounced back up. "Um...for kicking? I don't think we covered that."

Alanna jumped off of her table. "Okay. First off, don't kick. A kick is one of the easiest things to block and so if you don't know what you're doing, don't kick. Now, if a kick is coming towards you, you want to catch the foot and pull, hopefully sending the person on to their back and giving you time to run like hell in the opposite direction."

MOOOOOOOO!

The Tick could swear the little cat was looking at him funny. "Hello there. How are you tonight, chum?"

"Yeah, gotcha on the no kicking part. I'd rather not be on the offense at all. Fighting is bad for karma and all that." Blair bounced and grinned. "But the pulling sounds like something I could do. And I'm very good at running!"

Alanna grinned and aimed a kick up at Blair's groin. She didn't bother holding her strength back.

"Aaaah! Not ready! NOTREADY!" Blair stumbled backwards and fell over, hands protectively cupping himself.

Alanna wound up doing a very nice twirl on one foot. When she regained her balance, she resisted the urge to hit her head against something hard. "Blair? No one is going to ask you if you're ready in a fight. Now, up. I promise I'll undo any damage I cause."

Faithful purred. "Quite well, thank you." One of his paws unconsciously twitched out towars The Tick's head. He pulled it back quickly. "Yourself?"

Blair grumbled and grabbed his backpack. "I'm putting my helmet back on although I really should have worn a cup or something and man you are fast and if I was in a fight people wouldn't have to ask me if I'm ready because I'd be clued in by the angry faces and slurs about my parentage."

He stood and faced her, cringing a little. "Okay, I'm ready."
