Second Floor Common Room, Sunday night.

Angela felt like spending the last few hours of her weekend around people.

So she went down to the second floor common room and found it .... empty?

Weird.

She turned on the TV and settled in, watching a rerun of Wendy the Werewolf Hunter. It was an episode about the lesbian couple; Violet and Skye were reconciling after a huge fight.

Somehow, she did not see this ending well.

Cally wanders in, some grease stains on her her shirt, not to mention some grease stains on her face. She wipes her forehead with the back of her arm before collapsing into a chair.

"What're we watching?"

Peter wandered down to the second floor because he realized he hadn't done... well, anything this weekend. And when you needed to do something, you went to the second floor because the third floor was too cool for it. "Hey, people. What's going on?"

"Wendy the Werewolf Hunter," Angela said. "It's the episode where Violet and Skye are getting back together."

She nodded at Cally's shirt. "Where's the grease from?"

"Hey, Peter," Angela said. "I just got back from Maine. That's about it."

"Was just working on Pippi's outboard motor. I'm hoping third time's actually a charm, cause I'm afraid what my next failure will do," Cally says.

"Good luck. I'm kind of hopeless fixing stuff. It tends to end up broken worse," Angela said.

"Oh, this isn't repair," Cally says with a little chuckle. "Scratch build. Hardest frakking thing I've done all year. I mean, well, Bertram woulda been? But Bridge did most of the work on that. Bridge tends to do most of the work, period. Which is kinda why I'm trying to do this one on my own."

"Meet any nice lobsters while you were there?" Peter asked.

"There was one on my plate in Lobster Hut?" Angela said. "But we didn't really talk." She shrugged. "He tasted good."

"You're building a motor? I'm way impressed," Angela said. "And yeah, I get wanting to do something on your own. Just to show you can, y'know?"

Xander wandered ambled in looking... apprehensive? Possibly like he was trying not to look apprehensive, which involved grinning and waving to people. Including Angela, the sight of whom might've knocked the non-apprehensive grin sideways a little.

"Hey, people." He grabbed a spot at the end of one of the couches. "Oh look, unrealistic tv, yay."

"Yay," Angela agreed with a grin. "I love that the werewolves always come at Wendy one at a time. It's way considerat of them."

Isabel waited until Xander left the room to look for and print out the picture she would need for the dreamwalk. Once that was printed out and hidden beneath the pillow she tried to figure out what to do with the rest of the night. Sitting in the room brooding wouldn't work so in search of company, she headed down to the second floor common room.

"It's probably best for everyone if you don't talk to your food," Peter said. "The food especially. If I were about to be eaten, I'd hate for the person with the silverware to be chatty about it."

"Hey, Xander," Peter said. "What's so unrealistic about it? Besides the dialogue, fasion, and math?"

"Yeah, that was the idea," Cally says. "Of course, so far, it's been more showing I can't. But I'm working on it!" She rubs her neck reflexively. "So, what've you been up to?"

"Hey, Isabel," Peter said. "Has the search for the perfect crown begun yet?"

She shook her head. "Unfortunatly no. I've had some other stuff keeping me busy. But I will be talking to Parker about it this week."

"I went to Maine this weekend with Parker, Rory and Bridge, and Parker's friend Jarod," Angela said, then scrunched up her face. "Actually, it started in Delaware, but then we kind of had to go to Maine."

Peter smiled. "Excellent. And remember, you have two weeks. No rush."

"Or if they do tag-team, they manage to toss each other right into the path of her kicks," Xander added. "Plus? Real werewolves do not quip. Vampires, oddly, yes. Werewolves, no. They mostly just growl, with the occasional belch if they just ate somebody."

"True," Angela laughed. "Though my dad sometimes talks to food when he's cooking. 'Brown faster,' and all of that."

She got a thoughtful look on her face. "It listens, too."

"So that's where Bridge has been," Cally says. "He totally didn't tell me he was going anywhere. I was kinda worried about him. Did you guys have fun?"

Angela blinked.

"You have werewolves in Sunnydale too, huh?," she sighed. "I should not be surprised, yet somehow, I am."

Angela waved. "Hey Isabel, I haven't talked to you in forever."
