Jonothon Evan Starsmore, the stunningly handsome and ridiculously wealthy rock-star descendant of the late Jack Starsmore, heir of the vast Starsmore Fortune, esteemed leader of the mighty and powerful Clan Akkaba, and wielder of Mysterious Powers of Which He Never Spoke, lifted his guitar and took a pleased look around at his surroundings. The stage was set. The band was ready (even if they were all nameless, faceless individuals. The focus wasn't on them, here.)

No, no, the focus was on Jonothon, his hair perfect, his face perfect, his chest? Dare I say it? Perfect, as if sculpted by the hand of God himself. It would have been a shame to put a shirt on it, in spite of the time of year. And anyhow, this particular corner of the island was unseasonably warm. It would be a shame to not take advantage of the sunny sky, the green of the grass and the leaves in the trees, the warmth the day had to offer... and other types of heat, at that. Perfect chests were for showing off, and Jonothon would like to encourage all of his audience to partake in that very same mindset.

But all of that hardly mattered. What really mattered, here, was that there was to be a concert today. And, perhaps afterwards, Jonothon would let his most avid admirers backstage for a personal tour.

After coming back from Curupira, Jaye had work to do.

And now that it's done, she's on the roof of Pixie cabin with a bucket of water balloons filled with glitter, hurling them at things, people, small woodland creatures, what have you. There's also a squirrel who is looking around, just in case he can point out anyone who might have radio. You know, because.

There are worse ways to spend your last night in Fandom.

[Open if you wanna get hit with stuff. Or help her throw stuff. Squirrel modded with permission.]

Sometime after getting back from her classes, Will pulled out her diskman out, and started hooking up the portable speakers she'd managed to pick up in town. After a couple minutes of town, the sweets sounds of Cobalt Blue, her favorite band, started playing in the Keroppi Curupira campfire area.

Now all she needed was to brew up some coffee.

Jaye could very easily get depressed over her last week here, especially since she ended radio and two people in her alcove section of the cabin are already gone.

She's not, though. What she's doing is standing somewhere near the fire, and tossing mini-marshmallows into it. What? They suck for s'mores when they're that small, but they make good projectiles.

And she hasn't even gotten into Barbossa's rum yet. Wow.

Mr Canute Mimir Fluffypants was anxious.

Things were not going as he'd hoped. It had been ages since D-prime had vanished. H-prime had been ignoring him for months. And if his internal clock was right, it was almost time for H-prime to graduate and leave Fandom entirely.

Well, he wasn't having any of that. On the morning of May 1st, he reactivated himself and stealthily snuck through a whole bunch of dorm rooms to steal things. Weird things. Random things. Whatever he liked best in each of the rooms visited. Things like:

Fluffypants' swag list )

After he was done, he piled his collection of loot in a large pile in the second floor common room. If anyone wanted their things back, they'd have to bargain with him.

That would stop all the upcoming changes from happening, wouldn't it?
[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com
Alec and Dean had decided that there was no better idea than getting a lot of ice cream, a lot of random toppings, and then making sundaes. They even waited until after lunch (cereal) and made sure to have healthy things too (fruit syrup! jam! graham cracker bits!).

There was, of course, a lot of everything, just in case people wanted to come by and have some of their own. Alec was suicidal nice like that.

[OOC: Come have ice cream? Toppings and flavors totally moddable, and feel free to order Alec to put it all together for your wee ones.]

Finals started tomorrow, so Jack was - surprisingly enough - studying.

He was doing it in a very Jack way, though. He'd claimed the biggest couch in the first floor lobby as his own and was currently sprawled across it, shirtless, sucking on a lollipop while he flipped through a textbook.

Propped up at each end of the couch was a sign which read-- )

"Worried about Finals?

Lick a Seahorse for Luck!

The table next to him held several empty coffee cups, with books and notes piled haphazardly next to them, and sitting underneath it - where it wouldn't be immediately apparent to anyone walking past - was a large box, filled with lollipops that he would happily share.

[ooc: Open to all! Grab the chance to lick a Seahorse!]
[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com
Kawalsky headed to the common room in search of snack food. He'd exhausted his own supply and didn't really feel like walking down to town to pick up some more. The common room was much closer.

As he stepped across the door threshold, he tried to put his foot down on the floor and found he couldn't. He poked the air and it seemed fine, but when he stepped fully into the room, there was no gravity to be had.

With a frown, he grabbed the door frame and tried to push himself off, floating through the air.

Sadly, the snacks were going to be more difficult to reach than he'd expected.

[OOC: Gravity-free common room! Come and float!]

The lobby had been rearranged to fit in a bunch of podiums and a big board that looked a lot like this.

Hades was at his own podium with note cards. "Welcome to Fandom Peril!, not Jeopardy!, because that would be a violation of copyright and we all know that that's a bad thing, right? Yeeah. Anyway, Fandom Peril!, brought to you by Proud Republican and Tory Students.

Aim of the game is to get as many right answers as you can. The categories are Fandom-related. You pick a category and an amount, listen to the clue, then buzz in and answer in the form of a question.

To get the group spirit going, yeah that's it, group spirit, each podium can have a team of up to four. Cram in there if you have to. Any team member can buzz in and answer. In the form of a question.

And on to our first round. The categories are: Animals John Has Turned Into, Invasions, Detention, Potpourri (about anything and everything), Roadkill (that's about Fandom wildlife) and Colors That End in 'Urple'. Team one, you get to pick the first category."

[OOC: PRATS folks get in there! Everyone who's allowed on campus at the time is welcome to join in. ie: non-PRATS more than welcome! Pick a podium, jump in, if the podium is full jump in anyway. After Alpha Beta Gremlin, D wasn't really in the mood to go back to her room. She'd spent enough time in there over the weekend.

Also? She had an inexplicably large amount of cupcakes that she'd just picked up from J.GOB and there was no way she could eat them all herself.

So she set them out on the counter in the common room, took one for herself and went to see what was playing on the TV.

She found the remote and began flipping channels before taking a bite of a rather tasty cupcake, "Happy birthday to me."

Alec had apparently decided to take Hades' announcement to heart today, as he sat in the common room kitchen with a giant pot on the stove and many weetiny penguins running around. The stove was on, the water coming to a boil, and Alec was hungry.

Layla was seriously disappointed by the lack of Pie Day celebrating that was going on. So, early in the afternoon, she made a trip into town for supplies, and came back to the fifth floor common room to bake. A few hours later, there was a line-up of pies on the counter, some from her own baking, and some from J,GOB, along with a sign:

Happy Pie Day!
Please help yourself!

She wondered idly if it had been such a good idea to buy so many cream pies. Only time would tell.

The rain's stopped, but Jaye's still not going to try walking around in it. But the animals have started singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" ad nauseum and she's sure as hell not staying indoors.

Which is why she's in the basement, going through a handy storage closet and finding a small one-person raft. "Boo-yah," she says, and inflates it right there... and then realizes that that's kind of stupid because now she has to get it all the way up the stairs and outside like this. But still! Raft!

Hunching down in the couch and trying to appear inconspicuous in a way that a six-foot-tall woman giant dressed in a leather skirt, man's dress shirt, and no bra or shoes, cannot, Seely flipped through the channels trying to find a movie to watch. Sure, Jaye could watch TV in her own room on the tiny little thing she kidnapped from her sister's old room over Christmas. But it's America's Next Top Model day, and only a big TV will do for this sort of event. So as soon as she can, she heads downstairs to commandeer the good television, even making popcorn and everything to set out on the table.

Then she sits all front and center and waits for it to start. And hopes Steve shows before then, because missing this is a crime. It's not just fierce, it's ferocious.

Mice, as it turned out, weren't big on sleeping for long stretches at a time. This explained why Jack had squeezed under Cedric's door, exploring his way down the hallway, sniffing at each door until he ended up in the common room.

It took awhile, but he eventually managed to climb up onto the couch and scamper over to the remote control. //Okay, I can do this.//

Bouncing up and down on the power button eventually turned the TV on, and he used both paws to change the channel. He paused, twitching his whiskers, as the screen was suddenly filled with mice. Cute mice. //The Saviours, huh?//

Jack curled up on top of the remote to watch the story of two heroic mice, who obviously had a severe case of UST, nibbling on a bit of popcorn he'd found under one of the pillows.

*SNAP*

The goat jumped to the back of the couch with the ruined remains of the remote in his mouth, looking smug.

"You are really annoying," Krycek muttered as he got up to change the channel manually.

The Beast was crouched on the corner of the roof, looking out over Fandom.

Half hidden in the shadows and the night, he was brooding - dramatically - and also for some reason humming under his breath.

Two days, and his life had changed dramatically -- because of Samantha.

It was unexpected. It was inexplicable.

Without really noticing, his humming segued into song. (Because the power of Disney narrative can not be denied.)

She glanced this way, I thought I saw
And when we touched
She didn't shudder at my paw
No it can't be, I'll just ignore
But no one's ever looked at me that way before.

The wee little turtle had finally made it back to the familiar hallway after a very strange day and sleeping comfortably in her shell in a corner of the stairwell, which was quite a task to manage. Dawn was wearing the same jeans and sweater she'd been wearing yesterday, not wanting to head back to her room and too tall to borrow Molly's. She was also freezing, which had led to her mixing up a very large pot of oatmeal. The fixings were in the cupboard if anyone wanted them, but she wasn't setting them out.

Instead, she was sitting with her bowl of healthy goodness (once you ignored the raisins and brown sugar she'd added to her own) and a very, very large mug of hot cocoa with mini marshmallows. She read through a large pile of books and scrolls she'd brought with her and that Giles had sent since May (not all of which were in English), trying to find anything that explained what was going on.

She made occasional notes on a pad as she worked.

Following his and Isabel's plans made yesterday, Peter had stopped by J,GOB after Interstellar Relations to pick up a metric ton of coffee, doughnuts, bagels, and assorted other pastries.

Getting them back to the Common Room was easy, but trying to corral all the books in the Common Room into a cabinet so they wouldn't knock over the coffee was much more difficult.

However he managed to do so and thus there was a table set up with coffee, tea, doughnuts, and pastries.  A sign said "Happy Studying and Good Luck on your Finals from Student Council."  There was an addendum added in pen "Watch out for books!"

Peter was drinking tea and studying his Hunting notes nearby.

Sometime either in the middle of the night or very early in the morning, a large, beautiful, undecorated Christmas tree ended up in the first floor lobby of the dorms. No idea how it got there, but it's not the weirdest thing to happen in Fandom. Neither is the fact that there are also boxes and boxes of completely moddable decorations lying out. Ornaments, garland, tinsel, it's all there. Also not weird is the fact that someone set up a little table with apple cider, hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies. And a little CD player with Christmas music CD's beside it.

The fact that someone stuck a big red bow on the alien fish tank? Okay, that's a little odd.

Really, the tree is lonely without decoration and people should really fix that.

[Welcome to the dorms' tree-trimming party! Post is open all day so no one misses out ICly or hopefully OOCly. Jaye's glad to be the first one in a common room, just because it means she doesn't have to download all her TV for once. (Perfectly legally, of course.) She takes a seat right in front of the TV, grabs the remote, and completely fails to know what's on on Wednesdays anymore. She's all confused since the networks started switching things around the schedule and forgetting to appropriately advertise them. Pretty soon things'll start getting canceled. Freaking networks.

And it's best not to ask why there's a little lion sitting out on the table. Because then Jaye'll have to admit she's an idiot and there'll be flailing and no one wants that.

Isabel and Cameron had managed to get the campfire going in the main area. Luckily the weather was a lot clearer than yesterday and things had remained dry. And now it was just a matter of waiting for people to show up and recapture the cabin spirit one last time before fall and winter truly set in.

Sam hadn't gotten nearly as much studying done over the weekend as he'd wanted to, so he'd settled himself in the third floor common room to go over his class notes. He had markers, pens, and highlighters of various colors, and was doing a fairly good job of going through everything, until he'd made the mistake of laying down on the couch.

His notes were on the floor now, and those light snoring noises could be taken as an indication that he was pretty deeply asleep.

The package he'd been waiting for from home had finally arrived. He sent a handwavy email to his flight workshop students, and then dragged his television down to the lobby and set it so a brilliantly lit planet floated in the center of the room. It then began cycling through a series of photographs of the planet.

He returned to his room and came back with the contents of the package: food from home. Sand cookies, pies, teas made from leaves and not random alien colons (unless you really wanted alien colon tea), candy from Alderaan and Naboo, the works.

He turned on what Obi-Wan had assured him was the latest in Coruscanti music and kicked back on the couch.

Jaye slept in a little, because she's decided to be lazy today. Which is why her hair is still damp when she leaves her room. It's also why she decides it's not worth it to go alllll the way down to the second floor as she usually would, and camps out on the couch here instead. She does actually have to get up to get the remote, though, which means she shouldn't have to move again for the rest of the day.

Now she can just sit here and bemoan the fact that there are no good talk shows left on TV.

It was a victory party! No matter who won.
