2nd floor hallway, 7th period

Cameron headed up the stairs, returning from Medieval History Class. He wasn't really paying much attention to anything as he headed down the hallway towards his room.

Logan threw a punch at Cam's face. "You're a real slimeball," he said.

Not paying much attention meant that the punch hit him full force and Cameron staggered back. "Frak, are you insane?" Cameron growled as he touched his jaw, too taken by surprise to do much of anything.

"That's one theory," Logan said. "What the hell are you doing with Molly?"

Cameron blinked and wondered how the hell Logan had found out. "Nothing that's your business," he snapped.

"Oddly, that's not a satisfactory answer. Care to try again?" Logan asked, fist raised.

"No actually, I don't." Cameron flexed his hand, if Logan would try to hit him again, this time he'd be ready. "It was a pretend wedding and I was seven. There's nothing much to say about that."

"Nope, not a worthy excuse," Logan said. "You can't tell me you were seven yesterday."

Cameron stiffened for a moment and wondered how Logan knew, then he went right back to glaring. "I don't need an excuse, nothing is going on."

"So it meant nothing to you," Logan said.

"What part of it's none of your business don't you get?" Cameron asked, getting annoyed as he really didn't feel like explaining himself to Logan of all people.

"All of it," Logan said flatly. "You wanna perv on a freshman, pick someone else."

"Perv?" Cameron tilted his head and for a nanosecond considered just walking away. Then he took a swing for Logan's face, much like Logan had done himself earlier.

Veronica was heading down to the second floor to talk to Angel before the graduation meeting.

She entered the hallway from the stairwell just in time to see Cameron taking a swing at Logan.

Logan took the hit on his cheek and swung back at Cam's stomach.

Cameron moved to the side, but still took the hit in his side. He grimaced and lunged forwards, hitting at Logan's shoulder.

"What the hell are you two doing?" Veronica demanded, stepping between them and accidentally putting her own shoulder in the path of Cam's fist.

"Fuck," Cameron pulled back as quickly as he could, but it still was too late as he really hadn't noticed Veronica at all.

"Nice," Logan said. "You make out with freshmen and you hit girls. Real class act. You okay, Veronica?"

"I'm fine," Veronica said, rubbing her shoulder. She glared at both of them. "Again, I ask, what the hell are you two doing?"

"Logan here was minding his own business," Cameron sneered.

"I'm sorry," he took his eyes off of Logan long enough to apologise to Veronica. "I really didn't mean to hit you. You sure you're alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine," Veronica said. "Not your fault I stepped in the way of your fist."

Logan rolled his eyes.

Cameron clenched his fist, but hitting Veronica was a pretty good reason not to try going at him again.

"I think we're done here," he decided before turning back to Veronica. "I'm still sorry. I got an icepack if you want."

Veronica considered that for a moment. "Yeah, okay, that might not be a bad idea," she said. "Maybe it won't bruise then."

She looked at Logan. "You guys are done," she said.

"Are we!" Logan exclaimed. "Thanks, Veronica, I don't know how I survive without you watching my every move."

"I would gladly hand that role over to someone else," Veronica retorted. "But apparently no one else wants it."

"Shucks, I'm stalker-free," Logan said, snapping his fingers.

Cameron snorted. "Yeah, I can see how not even the psychos would want aything to do with you."

"Enough!" Veronica said, throwing her hands up. "Cam, let's go get that ice pack. Logan, try not to get in any more fights, I have plans the rest of the day."

"Fine by me," Cameron said as he turned away from Logan and started heading down the hall.
