The basement pool, Tuesday evening
The pool was quiet and deserted when Ivanova padded down, shedding towel and flipflops by the poolside. Being back on the station and the abrupt realisation that soon she'd be heading right back for good had made her appreciate things like a really big pool. She paused for a moment on the end of the highest diving board, savouring the moment, before diving gracefully off. Cannonballs were for later.

"Are you going into battle then?" Maia said in a tight voice.

She didn't want to answer her second question. She herself didn't know the answer. Earth wasn't at war. At the moment. That could change. So instead she pushed off a bit from the wall, holding out her hands to Maia. "Come on, swim with me a bit."

She noticed Ivanova avoid the question and she let it go. Getting into the water slowly she went to Ivanova's outstretched hands and then whispered close to her ear "Well I like what you do with your hands."

Her hands were roaming over Maia's back freely now, dipping down to stroke over her thigh.

"I think..." Maia said with a slight shiver as she touched her thigh. "I think your...oh...I think your very professional...Susan..." Maia breathed, her fingers tightening on Ivanova's neck for a moment.
