Gym, after period 1

After changing clothes - it was his last clean workout outfit so he really hoped the laundry strike was going to end soon - Cameron headed down to the gym to practice for his Self-Defence exam later today.

Molly had missed Cam after class because she had stopped to talk to Broots. Cam had ignored the looks she'd been giving him all through class so she suspected there was a different explanation for the bruise than sparring.

After checking his room and not finding him there, Molly went to check the gym.

"So, how'd you get the bruise?" she asked as she walk closer to where he was practicing.

Cameron stopped for a moment to look at Molly. "I walked into something," which really wasn't a lie.

Yep, not sparring. "With your jaw?" she asked with obvious disbelief.

"Yep," he nodded. "Didn't see it coming." Not a lie either.

"What did you walk into then?" she asked.

"Uh," Cameron cleared his throat and considered lying. Sighing, he shook his head and went back to punching the bag. "A fist?"

Molly sighed. "I should have thrown you and Anakin in the duckpond on Saturday," she muttered to herself.

"Whose fist?" she asked him.

"Logan's?" Cameron kicked at the bag.

"And what were you fighting about this time?" she asked.

Cue to looking sheepish. "He found out that we kissed."

Oops.

"Oh," she said quietly. "Do you know how?"

"Radio probably," he said, looking apologetic.

"Oh," she said again, blushing.

Molly looked away from him. "I'm sorry," she said.

He shrugged and grinned. "Worth it."

Molly looked back at him in surprise, blushing more, but then she grinned as well.

She put her hands behind her back and looked down at her feet for a moment. "So, how bad was the fight?" she asked.

Cameron made a face, "Let's just say it's a good thing Veronica showed up when she did?"

"And will Logan be showing up with any bruises too?"

"Possibly?" Not that he looked very sorry about it.

Molly shook her head at the look on his face, trying hard not to grin at him. "Three fights in four days. Are you sure you're not still seven?"

"I can reach the top cupboard," Cameron pointed out with a grin.

"Yes, I did notice that," she said, blushing again.

"Good," he smiled as he watched her blush. "Shorty."

Molly narrowed her eyes at him. "You really need to stop calling me that," she warned.

"Or what?" He asked, grinning.

"Or I'll throw you in the duckpond like I've been wanting to do since Saturday," she said, eyes still narrowed.
