Logan was in the kitchen. Cooking. Because when you were in a kitchen, working with a blender, you could call it cooking. Even if the result was more beverage-y than food-y. It was practically summer, anyway. Perfect time for a cold iced drink. With tequila.

The television was playing "Annie".

"I wish I was," Veronica says, her face twisting in to a grimace.

"Oh no no no. That's classic," Jaye says.

"Why? Is something like... the matter with..." She trails off, because yeah, but now she's curious.

"Jaye!" Veronica exclaims, her face flushing. "I didn't look!"

"Well, you don't know if you can really complain if you didn't look," says Jaye, completely innocently.

Veronica feels faintly nauseated. "It's more the concept that disturbs me. Bel and I are friends now, but... gah!"

"Okay, okay, I'm being good now," she says.

"Thank you," Veronica says. "So anything new and exciting in your life these days? I haven't really talked to you lately."

"Not really," she says. "I'm traumatizing the newbies, but other than that... I've been a little bored lately."

"Well, we'll just have to see what trouble we can find to get in to then," Veronica tells her with a smirk.
