Logan was in the kitchen. Cooking. Because when you were in a kitchen, working with a blender, you could call it cooking. Even if the result was more beverage-y than food-y. It was practically summer, anyway. Perfect time for a cold iced drink. With tequila.

The television was playing "Annie".

"No dragons or vampires in Reefside, either," Conner said, laughing. "Just aliens, robots, and cloned dinosaurs."

"...see, we didn't have those, either," Rory said slowly.

"Lucky you," Conner told her, kicking the soccer ball up and tossing it at her, just to see if she'd catch it.

It bounced off her forehead and landed neatly in her hands. "I'm not good at catching things," Rory said, stating the obvious.

Conner winced. "Sorry about that. That's two nights in a row I've hit cute girls with that thing. Must be a sign I need more practice."

Rory blushed. "Not a problem," she said, gently tossing the ball back. "Gilmores are hard-headed anyway."

"Good to know. Cally was pretty nice about it too."

Something occurred to Conner, and he looked a bit troubled. "Oh man, I wonder if she told Anders about that. He's not the type who's going to come and try to punch me out for it, is he?"
