Outside the Dorms, Early Thursday evening
The Tick - carrying a few bags - and Lockheed - sitting on Tick's shoulder - were ready to head off.
"It's about that time, Lockheed. Soon you'll be back at a place that's close enough to your home. But you have to promise to write," he said.
Lockheed nodded. He wasn't ready to leave just yet, though. "I know," Tick said, "you still have some goodbyes to say."
Lockheed flew over to the fish tank. Tick turned to the fish and said, "Phil, Whoremodder, Abraham, Simpson, Tony, Bernice, Nancy, Kyle, Prosper, Wilbur, and Murray? Lockheed has something he'd like to say to you." Lockheed then looked as if he might be conversing with the fish for a couple minutes.
[OOC:For one person in particular, but if you'd really like to say goodbye to the wee dragon, now's the time. Bye, bye my favoritest NPC ever!]

Lockheed turned around with a big grin on his face and flew back to Tick and Rory. The fish may have appeared kind of sullen. Well, as sullen as fish can be. Lockheed reached into a bag and pulled out a cookie for Rory.

Tick patted Lockheed on the head. Lockheed glared. "He really wanted to say goodbye to you. He'll probably promise to write you if you ask."

She glanced at Tick. "Can he type or hold a pen? I've never seen him do it."

Lockheed nodded again.

Lockheed flew over to give Rory a weedragon-sized hug.

"Take care of yourself, Lockheed," she said almost sternly, pulling back to look at him.

"Goodbye, Rory," Tick said. "I'll be back in a couple days. Come on, Lockheed, let's hit the road!" Tick hefted up the bags started to walk toward the door. Lockheed turned around and watched the lobby retreating behind him. He gave one final wave before they were outside.
"Bye," Lockheed grunted.
