Fifth Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening

After spending the day unpacking more boxes that she had handwavily received from her parents, Marie decided to be social and headed out to the fifth floor common room.

She settled on the couch and flipped on the TV, looking for something interesting to watch. She found Tinseltown Diaries which appeared to be one of those tabloid talk shows. Her momma always watched those and Marie had a secret weakness for them.

Kaylee wandered into the fifth floor common room and smiled at the girl sitting on the couch. "Hello."

"Hi!" Marie said with a grin. "I'm Marie, one of the new kids."

Kaylee grinned back. "I'm new too. My name's Kaylee."

"Nice to meet you," Marie said. "Care to join me? I'm just watching one of those trashy tabloid shows. We can change it if you want."

"Oh no, you can watch what you want," Kaylee said, sitting on the couch. She kinda stared at the television. "Looks interesting."

"It is," Marie said. "This one's about this has-been actor who was charged with killing his son's girlfriend."

Bridge wanders up to the fifth floor and walks in to the common room, smiling at the unfamiliar faces.

"Hey, people I don't know!"

"Oh," Kaylee said, trying to process that.

Marie nodded. "Cause he was allegedly having an affair with her and she threatened to expose it."

"Hi," Marie said with a grin. "I'm Marie. Are you new, too?"

"Nope," Bridge says with a wave. "Bridge Carson, I've been here since September."

Kaylee smiled brightly at the person she had never met before. "Hi! I'm Kaylee."

"Oh wow," Kaylee said, her eyes wide.

"And there's all sorts of tawdry information about his family, too," Marie continued. "It's fun gossping about celebrities."

"Why are there so many of you?" Alanna wondered as she came in. Faithful meowed.

"Hey Kaylee, I'm Bridge," Bridge grins at her.

"Nice to meet you, Bridge," Marie said, still grinning.

"So what're we watching?" Bridge asks, flopping down on the couch.

"So many of what?" Marie asked, blinking at the girl who'd just walked in. "Oh! What an adorable kitty," she exclaimed.

"One of those tabloid shows about famous people," Marie explained.

"New students." Alanna pointed out and sat down. Faithful jumped off of her shoulder and went over to Marie to be petted.

"Nice to meet you," Kaylee replied, the smile never leaving her face.

"It all seems so fascinating."

Marie shrugged. "Dunno," she said, reaching out to stroke Faithful's back.

"I'm Marie. I take it you're not new?"

"It is," Marie said. "I'm not actually familiar with this actor's work, but that doesn't make it any less interesting."

She grinned. "Where are you from?"
