4th Floor Common Room, Early Evening

Ranma settles on the couch and watches TV for a half hour in his boredom. Shortly after this time, he falls asleep on said couch.

((OOC: Open for any and all bothering and 4th floor common room fun))

Enter the Jude, who has spent most of the day asleep. Hence bright, chipper, awake, and almost expressing an emotion other than calm.

Ooops, sleeping bro. Maybe he should just sneak - WHAMPF!

That was the doorframe.

"Ow . . ."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Jude winced, rubbing absently at his chest. That thud sounded like it might have hurt, having had much experience with the volume and intensity of thuds. He padded over, brow furrowing in a vague semblance of concern. "You okay, bro?" he asked uncertainly, not sure if the boy was awake or not.

"Common room, bro," Jude replied mellowly. "You fell asleep."

"No prob, dude." Jude chuckled as the mun curses a wasted opportunity. "I was actually trying not to wake you up but then there was a doorframe in the way and ya kinda woke up anyways.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Jude chuckled again. "Already there, bro," he drawled, pointing towards his own forehead. The Sharpie hadn't been touched up since yesterday, but his forehead still clearly read 'JUDE'.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Nice to meetcha, Ranma." Jude flopped into a chair in his usual boneless teenage sprawl. "I totally hear ya on the handwriting. Took me forever to do this."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Dunno, bro. Saved me a few introductions. And it means people will probably remember my name better."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
"That too," Jude drawled, deadpan. Or maybe seriously. It's really hard to tell. "The whole nametag thing is really just an excuse."

Laughing at oneself is the national pastime where he's from.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
"Awesome, bro." Jude grinned. Mellowly. Leading to something that more closely resembled a sedate smile.

[[*deadpan* However did you guess. We work so hard on maintaining a veneer of sobriety in all our dealings.]]

"Toronto," Jude replied proudly, hoping he wouldn't have to add 'Canada'. "You?"

[[*waves small flag*]]

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Duuuude!" Jude grinned. "Wicked, bro. I was tellin' Sakurazaki that I'd love to go to Japan some time." He chuckled. "That would be awesome."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Jude found it warm here, even with the rain. But he didn't want to reinforce negative stereotypes, so he let it slide. "Yeah, bro, I like her, too," Jude grinned. "She came down and introduced herself. I hope I get to talk to her more. And that's cool that you have someone to talk to. I only know one phrase in Japanese 'cause I hung around Super Terrific Happy Sushi too much and worked there for like a day as a fish."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Jude just grinned. He was, after all, the comic relief. He had gotten pretty much the same reaction out of Sakurazaki.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Well it wasn't really a job-job," Jude said slowly. "I accidentally taped over Wayne's copy of 'The 77th Samurai' with 'Boardwarriors 3' so we had to find another copy and the only other one belonged to Hiro so we had to work for him for a day and Wyatt mopped the floor and I was a fish." This all said in his usual laidback drawl.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
"You can totally come and play in my room," Jude offered. "I have House of a 1000 Dead Guys and Corona and a whole buncha games and extra controllers." He looked around. "I should totally bring it down some time," he mused.

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Perfectly alright, bro," Jude replied magnanimously. "All ya need is practice. I myself have practiced for hours on end to hone my button-mashing skillzs."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Any time, bro, my door's always open." Jude perked up, hopeful. "Are you a skater?"

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Jude slumped a little. "Yeah, bro." His reply sounded a bit limp. He had a lot of work to do. "You could be."

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
"Skateboarding, bro." He placed on hand over his heart, looking as solemn as a lanky blond teenager wearing a tuque, baggy shorts, and with his name written on his forehead can look. "It's not just a sport, it's a way of life. The skateboard is but an extension of one's inner self." He chuckled. "And you can pull some pretty awesome tricks on one, too."

[[And now I go crash like a crashing thing that crashes. Night!]]
