"Oh, I know about him," says Aeryn. "I've heard 'Mandy.'"

Jamie shivered. "Yeah don't remind me. Horrible song. Okay now he's assigning the essay which kind of ties back into that whole voice over."

"Wait, so... They get detention and have to write an essay?" she frowns. "No babysitting, no fighting for the freedom of bald girls?"

"And sit there doing nothing- I'm sorry did you say 'Bald girls'?"

"We fought oppression, I think," she says. "I'm not quite sure."

Jamie looked at Aeryn with a boggled expression before he realizes the scene he's watching.

"Okay... this this the classic conflict we'll see throughout the film. Here Bender is defying the teacher and getting detention out the wazoo."

"Okay... grossest part of the movie. You think she's a talented artist and..."

Aeryn stares. "Why would anyone even think to do that?"

"Because she's the basket case. She doesn't fit within society and likes to flaunt it."

She shakes her head. "She just wants attention. I don't like her."

"Well... they learn from each other as the go along. See? They are putting aside their differences to go get Bender's Stash."

"Of course they are," she sighs.

"It's a pivotal scene in the movie."

"I am waiting for the pivot."

"Here... see they were working together and they messed up? So what does Bender do? He sacrifices himself so the rest of the group won't get caught."

"Very noble of him," she admits. "Though I have to question his motives."

"Well he wants his stash. True but he could have let everyone get caught and hid it someplace."

"But what does he want from the others that he would go that far?"

"Maybe it is just showing that deep down his not a burnout but a guy who cares."
