"Yeah, I can." says Draco grinning like he always did when people asked him about being a wizard. "I actually went to school with Cedric for a while before...I came here."
"So what about you? Witch? Alien? A 'chosen one'?" he says "It's hard to find a normal human being around here."
Marie smiled. "I am actually a normal human being," she said. you know, until my mun tortures me by triggering my mutancy. "And I never even knew that magic or aliens or anything existed before last week."
"I'm trying not to think about it too much," Marie admitted with a shrug. "Otherwise, I'd be tempted to run all the way back to Mississippi screaming."
She considered his explanation. "Doesn't sound like being chosen is very much fun."
"Ah, I thought I detected an accent." he says, shaking his finger. "I'm slowly learning the art of being able to guess which part of America someone is from by their accent. I'm not very good yet."
He shrugged. "I'm sure there's perks. Like fame and glory and all that." he says "I myself, prefer to live."
Draco nods. "Yep. The countryside, not London or anything." he says "I think it's a bit harder for people to tell what part of England someone is from."

"I've met a few chosen ones in my day. Usually people who say they're chosen to save the world and usually cheat death about once a year." he says

"And, yes, I'm from the south," she said, exaggerating her drawl. "I assume you're from England?"
