Bel lounged on the couch. Shhh, Passions is on.

"I ain't really from this time," Kaylee said. "I'm from the future. I know it don't make any sense, but it is the truth."

"Oh wow!" Marie said, eyes wide. "You met Bridge the other night, right? He's from the future, too."

"Yeah, I met him. Good to know I'm not the only one from the future, you know?"

"I'm sure," Marie said. "Well, I'm from this time, so if you have questions about how anything works, you can ask me."

"I will keep that in mind," Kaylee said, glancing at the television again. "These soap operas? They use actual soap?"

"No," Marie said with a grin. "Honestly, they have nothing to do with soap and I have no idea how they got that name."

Kaylee couldn't help giggling a little. "I was picturin' bars of soap singing opera."

Marie giggled at that image. "You know, from the things I've heard about this place? It wouldn't surprise me if that did happen."

Kaylee nodded. "If that happens, I want to be around to see it."

"Me too!" Marie agreed.
