Greg, it should be noted, was neither emo nor pouty.

'Thoughtful' might be a good word to use, though, and on someone like Greg, it may have beared a passing resemblance to emo. Perhaps emo's second cousin, or the like.

In any case, he was there, poking gently at the hot embers with a stick and trying to keep the smoke from hitting him in the face.

James flailed right back, barely containing the urge to squeal.

Barely.

Instead of a squeal, there was a muffled "eeehee," as he stooped over to pick up the crazy transparent pokeball which contained his wee friend from VillainCon.

If Cam-Mollusc was not a weetiny squid he might have complained that Food-Giver-Two-Legger wasn't giving him nearly enough attention since Two-Legger-Who-Does-Strange-Stuff-With-Food-Giver-Two-Legger stopped visiting.

James was more than happy to pick up the big little transparent pokeball and fumble about with the lid. He had decided that he liked this little guy too much to give him to the Boss if ever he managed to sneak away with him.

Anything that irritated Jessie simply by being cute was alright in his books, after all.
