Greg, it should be noted, was neither emo nor pouty.

'Thoughtful' might be a good word to use, though, and on someone like Greg, it may have beared a passing resemblance to emo. Perhaps emo's second cousin, or the like.

In any case, he was there, poking gently at the hot embers with a stick and trying to keep the smoke from hitting him in the face.

"Um. No. But my hair's not normally this color either," he offered.

"But my hair is normally this colour," James stated. "Maybe your hair colour is the one that isn't natural, and it should be blue instead? Because my hair? It's been this shade all of my life."

"I was born with brown hair. You're strange," Greg said with authority.

"I might be strange, but you're odd," James replied with a sage nod.

James crossed his arms and eyed Greg suspiciously.

"Or are you just weird?"

"I may well be both," Greg said seriously.

"You can't possibly be both," James replied in all seriousness. "You're either strange or weird. You have to pick one."

"Well, Aeryn said I'm strange and my sister thinks I'm weird. So clearly I'm both."

"Maybe you're not both, you're just a little bit of each... so that they mesh together, you know? Maybe you're not strange and weird, you're weinge or steird."

It made sense to James, anyhow.
