Stickbug Common Room, Evening

Peter was in the common room playing with what looked like a large metal bracelet with a flat bit that extended to his palm. He didn't get a chance last night to field test it, but he'd find some way to use it tonight. And it would be fun.

Until then, though, he was bored.

[OOC: Open. Especially to Stickbugs.]

"Hi," Greg said, wandering in and flopping onto a couch. "Are we doing the thing that we thought about doing last night but didn't do tonight instead?"

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Good," Greg agreed. "Because I am not short."

He paused. "Also, there was a tiny squid in a ball eating Skittles at the campfire with me last night. Is that normal?"

Tyler walked in about then, after his session with Dr. Pevensie.

"Hey. Who called you short?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Squid thing?" Peter asked coming in the door from the gym area. "Do I even want to know?"

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Squid in a ball," Greg said. "And it was Charlene," he added to Tyler. "Or Charlie. Whatever."

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Someone turned Charlene into a squid?" Tyler asked. "Should we turn him back?"

He might have been slightly fuzzy from his time at the shrink's.

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Would we know how to turn him back? Even if we should?" Peter asked.

"Squid can be good eating," Peter said thoughtfully. "Unless it's a pet of some sort, in which case, I never said that." He noticed Peter's new bracelets and asked "were you in a very masculine jewelry-making workshop earlier?"

Tyler looked at the rope, then back at the wristlet. "How strong is that stuff?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Second question, what is that stuff?"

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Third question is, what to do with it," Tyler said, reaching out a finger to lightly touch the thread. "It dries when it hits air?"

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
"It should," Greg said, looking at Peter. "It seemed to when I was testing it while making it."

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm impressed," Tyler said sincerely. "This is way better than making things that blow up. Or soap."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Soap?" Peter shooke his head and looked back at the webbing. "Could one make nets out of it? If one was so inclined?"

[identity profile] tyler-gone.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
"People pay good money for soap," Tyler muttered.

He tapped his finger against his chin. "So we can net whatever we want, but only for an hour?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Or rather, net whatever Peter wants. There aren't too many places on the Island that it would take more than an hour to get to," Peter said.
