Main campfire, Saturday morning

Nadia leaned back against one of the logs around the main campfire site, though there was no campfire lit at the moment, because, hey, day time. She had her guitar in her lap and was working on the fingering for U2's "One" . . . and admiring the camp's newest flag on the flag pole: a lovely pair of linen legging style underpants. She wondered when Principal Washburn would find her presents.

And the radio hadn't reported a damned thing.

In celebration, she had a box of donuts from J,GoB, perfect for sharing with other underwear-flag admirers.

It was good to be a squirrel.

"Good morning Oh Nobel Squirrel... Oh hey! What are those on the flagpole?"

"Why, they appear to be an old fashioned pair of linen underpants, my squirrelly friend," Nadia said with a grin. "How on Earth do you suppose they got there?"

"I dunno... Magic ya think?"

"It's certainly possible." Nadia gestured to her J,GoB box. "Donut?"

"Don't even have to ask." Pippi said as she took an Old Fashioned. "Did I hear you learning something about this in one of your workshops?"

"Yes, we learned how fetching donuts is one of the most important duties a person can have when fighting evil, and how to avoid the perils said duty is filled with." Nadia pulled out a Boston Creme for herself. "Though I'm afraid I didn't do so well with the 'perils' part."

"Well, that's why you take workshops for such things." Pippi said gesturing with her donut. "To learn and improve your skills."

"That's very true. And Xander is a good teacher."

Veronica wandered out of her cabin with a cup of coffee in hand because surely the grads have a coffee pot, right?.

Somehow she didn't think she should be surprised to see a pair of underwear on the flag pole.

"Good morning," she greeted Nadia and Pippi.

"Good morning." Pippi greeted Veronica with her donut.

"Morning!" Nadia gestured to the donut box. "Would you like a donut?"

"Good to hear." Pippi said, "I shall be very interested to see if he offers something next session."

"Sure," Veronica said, going to the box and grabbing a plain powdered donut. "What are you two lovely ladies up to this morning?"

She may have thrown a questionning glance at the underwear on the flagpole when she asked the question.

"Oh, not much. Just relaxing, enjoying the nice weather . . . and the new flag, of course." Nadia may not have been able to hide her smirk, just then.

"It's a very unique flag," Veronica replied. "I wonder where it came from."

"Pippi was just speculating that it could well be magic."

Alphonse wandered by, and before he was about to greet everyone at the campfire, he noticed the new 'flag' on the pole. Then decided not to ask.

"'Morning," he said to all.

"Those look suspiciously like underwear," Veronica pointed out. "Do you think they're magical underwear?"

"This is Fandom. They look like they might be time traveling underwear to me."

Veronica squinted up at the flag pole. They did indeed appear to be old fashioned underwear. She had certainly never seen any that looked like that.

"Very interesting," she finally said. "Never a dull moment around here."

"Donuts sound good," Alphonse said, grabbing at one. "So, um... whose are those?" he asked, since curiosity got the better of him.

"We're not sure." Pippi said without missing a beat. "They were there when we got here."

"Nope. Oh, I got the first picture for the scavenger hunt."

"They do make a delightful flag, though."
