Around the island, then back in front of Flamingo [late morning]

Alec's motorcycle didn't look much like a motorcycle any more. No wheels, for one. And it was kind of, well, hovering, thanks to the repulsorlift engine that Anakin had installed.

With a small smile, Anakin sat down and pushed the accelerator pedal with his right foot. The swoop bike took off with a satisfying roar.

He took it slow for the first trip around the island, carefully listening for anything that sounded unusual. Not that he normally doubted his mechanical abilities, but it had been that kind of a week, and it wasn't going to be a machine for his personal use where he could catch something later. Plus, it would be bad to have one of the new kids explode.

When he was finally satisfied that the bike was in working order, he pressed the accelerator all the way down with a fierce sort of joy.

500 kilometers an hour, even for the short trip around the beaches, was nothing to turn down.

He turned back towards the camp, slowing down to a more reasonable speed, parked in front of Flamingo, and left a handwavey message for Alec.

Nice to see something had worked this week.

[OOC: Open to Alec and anyone who wants to try to wheedle a ride on the new shiny thing...]

Alec's eyes widened as he looked the bike over. "Wow." He shot Anakin a huge grin. "She's beautiful. Do I owe you anything for this piece of amazing work?"

"How fast are we talking?" Alec leaned over with Anakin, peering at the new and remodeled bits and pieces admiringly. "She take any kind of fuel I need to know about?"

Alec snickered. "Very nice. I can live with gas-guzzling, really."

He did a little bit of a double-take at the speed. "Five hundred? Holy crap." Alec looked at the bike again, trying to picture it. "It's not a jet, but that'll do on land, really."

"Awesome." Alec's grin was positively ecstatic. "Anything else I should know, or do I get to figure it all out the fun way?"

"Right, no dying, open spaces." Alec nodded, still grinning. "Thanks again, man. I appreciate it."
