Canada, contrary to popular belief, was not a land of eternal ice and snow. That all its citizens were not built for heat is a blatant, blatant stereotype. Still, it was rapidly approaching Too Hot for Jude.

So he was currently oozing over a chair in the common room in his swim trunks with two fans ruffling the blonde hair sticking to the back of his neck and the pages of the book that he's reading. Upsidedown.

Blair bounced out into the common room carrying his goldfish in a bowl. "Hey there, man. Trying to concentrate?"

Jude dropped the book a bit to look at Blair from his upsidedown sprawl, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the goldfish. "Hey, bro. Nah, not really. What's up?"

"Why are upside down then?" Blair sat on the floor and settled the bowl between his legs. "These are my new goldfish, they are currently nameless."

Jude shrugged. "'Cause I can be?" He flipped over, scratching his head. "I suggest the name 'Fish'. It's easy to remember and leaves no confusion." He looked nostalgic. "Fish was a great little dude." He pointed at his skateboard, propped in a corner, with its little decal of a goldfish next to the nametag.

"I think I want something more creative, plus I need two names." Blair stared at the sticker sadly. "You lost a friend, man? That sucks."

Bel wandered through the common room. "Hey," he said.

"Hey, bro," Jude greeted him mellowly, peering at him upsidedown.

"What's up?" Bel asked. "Or down, as the case may be."

"It's hot," Jude informed him seriously.

Bel grinned. "This is nothing."

Blair waved from his spot on the floor. "Hey, man!"

"Hey, Blair," Bel said. "Heard you're my mighty defender."

"Mighty?" Blair grinned a little. "I was just telling the truth, man. Same thing anyone else who knows you would say."

John was about to laise around the common room, as you do, but caught sight of who was there. And walked right through.

Jude blinked. "What was that all about?" he mused aloud.

Lana made her way into the common room after the trek back up from town. "Bel, Blair, Jude..." She sat down on the couch. "I will be so glad when we're back at the dorms. It's quite a walk in this heat."

"But we'll miss all the cool camp stuff! The bonding and the bugs and the singing." Blair grinned. "Maybe we should have a rousing round of kumbayah before we head back to school."

"But walking in to town in this heat? It's just a pain. And yes, now that you mention it, the bugs... I could do without them. In fact, if it would get me back to the dorms sooner I'd be glad to join in a rousing chorus of kumbayah and I'd make Bel do it too!"

"I don't know about getting you to the dorms sooner, but singing might make you feel better!"

"Hey, Lana," Bel said. "You should've called me for a ride."

"Left my cell phone here," Lana said. "Forgot to take it off the charger."

She sighed. "Anyone know a way of teaching me telepathy? I'm thinking it could come in quite handy."

"Sorry, not a gift I have," Bel said. "You might want to ask Phoebe if there's anything in the Book of Shadows, but that might backfire."

"I'm totally with ya there, bra," Jude said, clearly melting in the heat. "Dunno how much more I can take."

"You look even worse than me. Are you going to be okay," Lana asked with some concern.

"I'm gonna be fine," he assured her, waving one hand rather vaguely. "This is just the hottest it ever gets around home. And no AC."
