Outside Koala Cabin, Late Afternoon, Wednesday.
Sakurazaki was a warrior with a mission. With mini-Yuunagi (yes, shockingly, it was still in one piece) tucked into her skirt, she had stalked her way over to Koala cabin and hidden herself expertly in the foliage surrounding it. After considering the prediciment she was in and the insight of her conversation with Alphonse last night, her mission was clear. She didn't know what it was holding her back from writing a recommendation in Ranma's favour, but she was going to find out. By stalking his cabin and waiting for some bomb to drop, exploding and revealing all sorts of character flaws to support her doubt.
But stalking was boring business. She had brought along a little notebook, scribbling a list of pros and cons while she waited for something exciting to happen. She scribbled in Japanese for two reason: 1) much more secretive, despite that the person who it was about could read it well and 2) writing in English sucked, especially without her dictionaries. She had very little so far:
*thumbs up*
someone I know is not a creepy pervert
appropriate age
good friend
would want to make Ojou-sama happy
thinks Ojou-sama is pretty
*thumbs down*
snores (sound sleep is important)
afraid of cat (stupid fear)
turns into a girl
tries too hard
bad jokes
Sakurazaki frowned. She had a lot of stalking to do. And it didn't help that her shoulders were driving her nuts! Why were they so itchy? It took a severe amount of concentration to try to ignore it.

Then turns away and coughs without even realizing it.

Still, she might still have a chance. Biting her lip and shrugging her shoulders, she tries to shrink into disappearance behind a particularly bushy shrub.

He had sort of fogotten at this point that he was shirtless.

Grinning quite fakely through her very, very red face, Sakurazaki looks up, hoping that the placed innocence in her eyes is powerful enough to mask her absolute dread. "Oh. Hi, Jude."
Nope, nope. Nothing odd here. Nothing odd here at all; I'm just hiding out in the bushes around your cabin for nooooo apparant reason. la-de-dah.
Oh, God...
no subject
Why was she lurking outside his cabin? He was completely lost.
no subject
Nice.

"When it's startin' to get dark? In the middle of the woods? Then why were you hiding?"
He was starting to droop. Why wasn't she telling him the truth?
no subject
"Um..."
She's definately tried to think of an answer for far too long, and there's no going back now. She might as well fess up. Although, really, if she's going to admit it to anyone, she's glad it's Jude. She released her defeated sigh.
Still, Sakurazaki has to do something before someone notices Jude talking to a shrub. While she supposes it would probably pass without too much notice, she can't take chances. She reaches up to grab his shirt to pull him down. And is promptly reminded by a brief second of flesh on flesh that he's not wearing one. Her hand jumps back as if it touched a hot burner on a stove; her face feels just as hot. The shorts will have to do, but when she reaches to pull him down by those, she just gets flashbacks to attacking Tim, and the blush gets worse.
Sucking in a deep breath to calm herself the hell down, she settles with just waving her hand, motioning for him to comes down and hide with her. "I'm on a very secret mission," she hisses in explaination.
no subject
"Secret mission?" he asked, also whispering.

But she almost owes him the answer. "Because it involves someone in your cabin, and not someone in, say, Squirrel." After a slight frown: "I don't even know who lives in Squirrel."

However, his insider affiliations could prove priceless. She appears very thoughtful, considering her options.
"Do you suppose you could give me general status reports? Sort of give me the run-down on what happens in there? Any strange occurances with any of your cabinmates, any...particularly annoying or flawed behaviours?"
Okay, that last one was probably threatening to be a little too specific. Oh, well.
no subject
She may be surprised to know that he's pretty good at covert ops. Long years of training in the best of class- and work-cutting. Also, just about the only one he could think of that would fit both of the latter was . . .
". . . is this about Ranma?"
Or maybe he was just paranoid.
no subject
And then she frowns, eyebrows sinking in concern as she looks over at Jude, half-suspiciously. "How did you know?"
no subject
He started to make for the cabin again.

She grabs for the edge of his shorts again, and this time, she's too livid to care about inappropriateness and nearly castrating someone else earlier that afternoon is about the furthest thing from her. Okay, maybe not the furthest. Either way, she manages to reach out and grab them. Forgetting her stength, she pulls him back hard enough to make him fall back down beside her. "Get back here," she says, her voice edged sharply with something fierce. Not quite anger, not quite annoyance, but almost. "What the hell are you talking about?"
no subject
The slump of his shoulders and the tone of his voice indicated that it wouldn't be too fine with him. His mellow was just about as harshed as it ever got.
no subject
"What the hell are you talking about? I recieved a specific, official assignment from Headmaster Konoe in Japan to scout out information about Ranma for him. This is offical O-mai business, Jude. This isn't just some idle stalking because I have nothing better to do. What makes you even think I would stalk someone for those purposes, anyway?"
Well...so much for keeping it a secret; there's a pretty good chance that anyone in the vicinity would have heard the explaination.
no subject
And then blinked again.
And then grinned.
"Gotcha now, bra," he said, nodding in understand and trying to suppress the glee despite her clear unhappiness. "And . . . well . . . my girl friends do it . . ." That made them sound so shallow, even if it was true. "I'm sorry, Setsuna, I guess I just . . . you and Ranma are more alike than we are and I guess, I dunno." He shrugged. "Not my place to think stuff like that anyways."
no subject
Her fists clench as she grunts in frustration, and then they open to claw the air. "To think what? I swear! You two and your...your...assumptions! That's how that whole thing last week happened. Assumptions. And I punched Ranma. You got off easy."
Still, she almost wanted to punch him. But it wasn't his fault she was the worst ninja ever.
no subject
"I'm sorry!" he said plaintively, waving his hands in front of him defensively. "I'm sorry! I made a mistake and I shouldn't assume things and please don't be angry at me any more! I still don't know what was going on last week and I haven't seen you much since, so . . ." He shrugged. "I dunno. I assumed - yeah, assumed - the worst."

But then she frowns again, beseeching him very gravely. "But you can't tell anyone about this, Jude. About this thing with Ranma. You have to protect it like your life, especially around him. He can't know. Not until I know for sure how I'm going to handle it."
no subject
even though canonically he's horrible at keeping secrets. He didn't want to let her down.no subject
She grins to show she's joking; they never give her the fun assignments like that.
no subject
He began to crawl out of the underbrush. "I'll letcha keep ninjaing." He looked oveer his shoulder suddenly, his eyes hopeful. "We're still on for tomorrow night, right?"
no subject
"Of course!"
Why was her head suddenly swimming?
no subject
And then his shirtless self was sauntering back towards the cabin.
no subject
"Ah!"
And try to get this damn itch to go away!!
