Camp gym, before workshops

Having been neglecting the gym in favour of running, Cameron decided to make up for it today. As he settled down on one of the weight machines, his gnome installed himself on a towel and went to back sleep.

Aeryn comes down to the gym early, since she didn't make it here last night, and gives Cameron a nod as she heads straight for the bag. "Hey," she says.

"Yo," Cameron greets, pausing in his workout for a moment to look at Aeryn. "How's it going?"

Every single time she hears the question, she thinks it's weird. She pulls on her gloves and shrugs. "Good," she says. "You?" And hits the bag.

"Fine," he glances over where the gnome is softly snoring. "Sorely lacking privacy, but we'll deal."

"A little crowded, is it?" she asks, so casually it would be hard to think she had anything to do with it.

"Yeah, something like that," Cameron agrees as he sits up to watch her work on the bag. "I'm guessing you and John have more problems with it."

Aeryn's glad she's facing the bag because she can't help but smirk. "We've managed," she says.

"That's good," Cameron nods. "Especially with the whole warring cabins thing."

She shrugs a little, and punches the bag again. "It actually hasn't been a big issue," she tells him. At least not after the first thing. And if she thinks of it the way Peter told her, she can actually enjoy it a little.

"Love is bigger thank a prank war," he says with a smirk.

She gives him an odd look over her shoulder, and gets back into position. "It had better be."

"I guess it makes for an interesting way to test a relationship," he remarks and switches machines to continue his workout.

Aeryn has no idea where this is going, so she puts it out there. "You're being weird."

"This is new?" he asks, sounding amused.

"Usually I can follow you a little bit," she says. Punch.

"Sorry," he apologises. "I'll try to make more sense in the future."

"That's possible?"

"I said I'd try," he shrugs.

A kick to the bag, and she says, "Good luck."

"Thanks," he tilts his head as he watches her kick out at the bag and can't help but wonder. "So, does the bag have a name today?"

"It's never had a name," she reminds him, smacking her fist into it again.

"I think it's had a lot of names," Cameron argues. "Maybe not by you."

"Then why are you asking me what its name is?" she asks.

"Because you look focussed and it's another way of asking you if something's bugging you?"

"I'm always focused. Nothing's bothering me," she shrugs. Whack.

Cameron raises an eyebrow. "Alright then. That's good," he says and goes back to his weight lifting.

She goes for a few more hits and says, "How are you?" She should probably ask.

They've covered this, but he humours her anyway. "Fine. Workshops are fun. You?"

Maybe she was expecting a different answer, or something. "Spending a lot of time here," she says.

"Yeah, I'm getting the impression this gym gets used even more than the one in the dorms thanks to the cheerleading thing," he replies and he's not sure how he feels about that. "You should try out for the basketball team."

"I was told that already," she says, and shakes her head, hitting the bag again. "No."

"Basketball isn't that hard. You've already tried the whole dribbling thing. It's fun," he assures her.

"I said I'd go to the games to support John. That's about all I need to be doing with it."

"I'm not sure John is going to be playing now that's he's made the cheerleading team," Cameron snickers.

Aeryn sighs, shaking her head and throwing another punch. "I'm sure he can do both."

"Well Jamie could," Cameron's still grinning. "I'm not sure John's got the duplication thing quite mastered yet."

"I'm very glad for that," says Aeryn, finally pulling away from the bag, and shucking off her gloves. "I should be going. I've got things to do before class."

"Sure," Cameron nods. "Catch you in class. If you want to take Barry with you, feel free."

She has no idea what a Barry is, but she has a feeling she doesn't want it. "You can keep it," she says. "I'll see you later."

"Your loss, he's cuddable," Cameron grins. "Bye, Aeryn."

She gives a little wave, and heads out of the gym.
