Puffin B1 and Common Room, Mid Afternoon, Saturday.

After a very typical wander through the woods, Sakurazaki returns to her alcove to find two things: a letter and those horrible, horrible tones of her phone. Naturally, concerned that something might be wrong, she leaps for the phone.

//"Hello?"//

//Se-chaaaaaaaaaan!"//

Sakurazaki releases both a sigh and slight roll of her eyes. //"You know, Ojou-sama, you shouldn't be calling me like this all the time. We set this line up for emergencies; you're going to give me a heart attack with worry every time I hear it. Besides, Negi-sensei wants us to write letters..."//

//"Oh, ppppptttthhh. Letters take to long. I have to know now. How did your date go?"//

Sakurazaki arches an eyebrow. //"What time is it over there?"//

//"Why does that matter?"// Konoka giggles. //"Tell me, tell me, tell me!"//

Her enthusiasm causes Sakurazaki to crack a grin as she leans against the frame of the bunk. //"It went very well, Ojou-sama."//

//"Did you kiss him?"//

Eyes get wide, face burns red. //"What?"//

More giggling. //"It's not like it would be your first time, Se-chan!"//

Sakurazaki lowers her head. //"You make it sound like I'm easy or something..."//

//"Come on, tell me!"//

Sigh. //"There was a kiss on the cheek; that was all."//

Flinching, Sakurazaki has to hold the phone away from her ear as Konoka releases an excited squeal. //"Eeee, Se-chan! Congratulations! A kiss from someone who's not Negi-sensei."// She giggles. //"Because, after all, who hasn't kissed him? hehe."//

//"Oh, come on, Ojou-sama, it's not that big of a deal..."//

//"Oh, yes it is, and you know it, Se-chan. Hehe. So what'd you do?"//

//"He took me out to some shack in the woods...Quiet, I can hear your thoughts, Ojou-sama; it wasn't like that. We just had dinner there because it was raining and we couldn't go to the beach. He made dinner and we just talked. That's all."//

Another squeal. //"Se-chan! No fair! That's so romantic!"//

In spite of herself, Sakurazaki grins. //"Maybe a little."//

//"I'm so jealous. You should send a neat boyfriend from America over for me!"//

Sakurazaki grunts. How ironic.

//"Anyway, Se-chan, Asuna just came home, and she's pretty mad at Negi-bozu so I'd better go mediate before they kill each other! Hehe, miss you! I'll try to call again sometime so---Asuna! No! Not the----"//

Click.

Well, that was an odd conversation; still unsure of how she feels, Sakurazaki sets her phone aside and picks up the envelope. The cartoonish drawings scattered all of it of a chibified Setsuna with obvious ponytail holding hands and kissing a bunch of general chibified men doesn't just make her want to blush and hide it, but it also tells her exactly who it's from. Nice timing, Saotome-san.... Sakurazaki opens it up and reads:

Sakurazaki-san,

Negi-sensei made me write this in English. He's actually being a teacher! WEIRD!!

But not as weird as your date. Woo! Go, Sakurazaki-san! But isn't that cheating on Konoka? No wonder you didn't want me to tell her, you devil! Man, you're so quiet in class. I had no idea you were so wild!

Anyway, your date. I'm sure you'll probably get some advice like be yourself, and just have fun, but blah blah blah. That's no fun.

First, you gotta do something with that ponytail. Put your hair down, because that would be very sultry and come hither. Toss it over your shoulders
as much as possible. Bat your eyes. Guys love that.

Second, new threads! You're not still just wearing the Mahora uniform, are you? Especially with all the
amazing fashions over in America? I mean, sure, the Japanese school girl look is probably even hotter over there when they don't have Japanese school girls at every corner (well, those corners, sure...but you know what I mean), but come on! Find yourself a nice, short black dress. Low cut. I know you don't have much there (no offence, but you're no Chizuru), but flaunt what you got!

Thirdly, and most importantly, touch him. A lot. Every chance you get. Then, you are
garanteed a successful end to your evening, if you know what I mean! Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more!

Those are the essentials. Since I don't have any details about the date nor the lucky young man, I can't really get too specific.

I am honoured that you turned to me in your time of need, Sakurazaki-san, you little minx!

--Haruna--

PS. I do have a cousin named Ranma, but we don't associate with that part of the family anymore, because his dad is a real nutjob and my parents want nothing to do with him. That's kinda weird that he's over there in America with you. Give him a hug from his long lost cousin Haruna! He probably won't know who I am, though, hehe.

Eyes narrowing, Sakurazaki snaps her fingers to bring up a little fire in her palm and sets the letter on fire. What the hell was she thinking, writing to Saotome-san? Worst. Idea. Ever.

By the time she collapses into a couch in the common room, tilting her head back and closing her eyes with a long sigh, she's pretty irritated and generally not in a good mood. And she just wants to sit.

[[OOC: Warning: Cuts are there with GOOD REASON. I write. A lot. ^_^ But interaction is now open, to cabinmates and anyone else who might have a reason to be there]]

He was a kitty, of course he liked being held! Cuddles let out a mew and purred, snuggling close against her chest. Mmm, he could definitely get used to this.

"Eeh, that sounds like it hurts..." Alphonse grimaced at the thought of being shot by an arrow. "And you can still handle a sword? That's pretty incredible, considering stuff like that tends to put people out of comission."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah," Alphonse bopped himself lightly on the forehead. "I forget far too often the things magic can do. Which seems to be... nearly everything."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
Cuddles rubbed his face against hers and continued to purr. He was loving the attention and affection.

"Barely? I can't use it, period. Even if others may protest to that." Alphonse folded the book in his hands closed, crossing his legs in the oversized chair. "There's so many different types, too; Sakura's got her cards, Demyx can do stuff with water, and I bet there's something else you can do, too."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 09:09 am (UTC)(link)
"At least you could say it sorta is like magic," Alphonse sighed and leaned back, resting his head on his hand. "Apparently the Law of Conservation of Mass isn't a good enough argument for me."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah, yeah," he answered, straightening back up. "It gets mistaken for magic often, and while some others eventually realize it's a science, some, well... aren't convinced." He paused. "I mean, not to say magic isn't good, it really is fascinating thing. But alchemy's got way more limitations and boundaries, and it doesn't work like magic at all."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, for starters, I can't create anything, only manipulate," Alphonse began. "And what I want to change, I can only work with that amount of mass. Also, it can't be changed into just anything; it needs to have the same properties of what I'm changing it into, whether it be chemically or molecularly. Magic, though, can create something out of nothing, or even destroy matter all together, or can change one thing into something completely different. Or just do anything that doesn't occur naturally."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
"It takes years of practice," he said, nodding. "You have to know and understand the properties of what you're dealing with before messing with it, otherwise it could get ugly."

"Paper magic? How does that work out?"

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Paper barries and guards, he's a little familiar with-- they often were in ghost stories. Of course, he should've expected them to work around here, too. Alphonse does look impressed with the doppleganger bit. "So it's like creating another you from paper?" He pondered the thought over, trying to figure out how that could work, and failing miserably.

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's amazing," Alphonse replied; he was probably convinced by now that magic could do anything, even if Sakurazaki said otherwise. "Do you use that for anything specific?"

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"That sounds very useful," Alphonse agreed, then smiled at a thought. "I certainly could use something like that, when my brother decides to get into trouble when I'm not around."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, of course! Alchemy is extremely easy to perform, so I wouldn't mind showing you. I don't mind learning about the paper magic, but I doubt I'd be able to do it myself. I'd be interested in seeing it work, however."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
He nodded, "Sounds like a fair trade." Alphonse was relieved to know she only wanted a demonstration rather than an explaination on how it worked. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but everytime he did it seemed to fly right over people's heads. Well, it didn't matter too much. "If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to start learning the magic you know? I figure if someone practices what they do, there's some motive behind it."

[identity profile] kitty--fetish.livejournal.com 2006-06-04 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Alphonse noticed that Sakurazaki mentioned this Ojou-sama person a lot... He looked up at her curiously and asked, "Who is 'Ojou-sama'?"
