Gym, Monday night

Yep. Again. John's asleep and she still needs to work off some stuff, so Aeryn's back with the hitting. It's been a really good system so far. She doesn't need to be there long, just enough to get everything out of her system so she can be normal for a little while.

After a weekend with some action and an afternoon with alien hair color-fu, Peter came down to the gym to work out a little.

It wasn't until a clown hit him in the face that he realized that he might be a little rusty. "Hey, Aeryn," he said, walking in and heading to the mats to stretch.

She takes a break, rolling her shoulders, giving him a nod. "Hey," she says, and gives the bag a kick, just because it deserves it.

"I've always said that bag was a jerk. He once called my aunt a mean name," Peter joked, starting his stretching exercises.

She stops, frowning at him. "Did it," she says.

"Not really. I had a weird weekend. And I'm just generally weird. So I may be a little extra weird at the moment," Peter said. "So, what did the bag do to you?"

"It was there, I was there... Things just happened," she says. And kick. "I'm not sure I want to know about the extra weird."

"Artist clowns kidnapped Zero's brother. I helped rescue him. And there was other stuff, but I'm focusing on the clown thing," Peter said.

Jamie walks into the gym and suddenly his somewhat emo-ish mood is gone. "Hi Aeryn!"

The fact that Peter is also in the room is apparently not registering with him.

Aeryn sends the bag swinging with another punch, and she looks back long enough to say "Hey," before hitting it again.

"How's it going?" Jamie asks all-interested-like.

She shrugs one shoulder, and smacks into the bag with two hard hits, letting that serve as her answer. "Tomorrow, right?"

"Right. Bitterwoman," Jamie says with a nod and slightly babbling. "Are you excited? I'm excited. It'll be fun. Do you want me to bring rum? Because I can bring rum. Rum's a great drink. Do you like rum?"

Aeryn frowns, looking over her shoulder at him. "I think you've asked me that before."

The regular sword practice was starting to get a bit dull, he hadn't seen Gwynn since the luau, so he decided to test himself against one of the sparring dummies.

Aeryn gives the new guy a nod, and goes back to hitting.

Tim nods back at the girl he hadn't met yet and also waves, before beginning to hit the dummy. His technique is rudimentary, amateurish, and slightly clumsy at first. the clumsyness goes away after a few strikes, but the other two stay. He was after all, an amateur.

Looking very twitchy by this point, Callisto returned to the gym. Seeing the bag taken, she picked up a practice sword and started going through a basic drill.

"Hey," Aeryn greets her, pausing long enough for a breath.

"Hey," Callisto grunted.



"That's hardly a proper greeting." Xena grabbed hold of Callisto's wrist and made her wave a Aeryn.

All right, she has checked up on Callisto, too, she realizes. "How're you?" she asks, following it with a punch.

"Me? Oh I'm great." Callisto replied dully.

She tried to hit Xena with her practice blade, but she dodged easily.

Aeryn turns around to ask something, and stops herself as she watches. "You sound great," she says.

Tim kept one eye on the blonde who'd entered. Strictly to watch her sword technique. Honest.

Callisto nodded to the new kid, and went back to her drilling.

Tim nodded back, and noted that it looked like she knew what she was doing. He tried to incorporate some of the simpler moves into what he was doing.
