Second Floor Common Room [afternoon]

Rory was trying to watch TV. She really was.

But now there were not only gnats flying around her, and something she could feel in her hair that was making her itch, but there were huge...gross, really painful zit-like things all over her skin. Because of this, Rory had flipped up the hood of her sweatshirt and drawn her knees up to her chest, trying not to disturb the spots.

Not to mention the frogs hopping around, and the dead fish in the aquarium that she'd passed on her way up from the lobby. And the fact that every few minutes, Rory heard a loud rumbling somewhere outside, and shuddered.

[Everything except the frogs? completely in Rory's head. You can't see the gnats, boils, or lice, and you can't hear the thunder, and the lights should be perfectly fine for you. Frogs are fair game. Open to all. :) Come talk to the crazy girl yay!]

John doesn't have any workshops today so he stops into the common room when he sees Rory in there.

"Hey there, LC." He frowns. "Or are those secret? Should I not use the codenames now?"

"We can use codenames," Rory said, gingerly poking at one of the icky things on her nose. "Hi DP. Do you see a bunch of bugs flying around?"

"Bugs?" John looks around the room, behind things and under the furniture. "Looks bug free. Did you see a bug before I came in here?"

"There are a bunch of bugs flying around me and apparently only I can see them," she sighed. "Also, I have apparently developed a really gross skin condition."

After finally convincing Cameron to leave the flight simulator, Anakin came into the common room.

His mouth pressed into a thin line as he saw how Rory was sitting.

"Hasn't gotten any better?" he asked, taking a seat nearby.

"Worse," she answered shortly, jumping a little at the thunder only she could hear and wincing at the jolts of pain from every stretched bit of skin.

"Want me to get George?" he asked, desparate for something vaguely useful to do.

Aeryn hasn't been in the common room in a while, and seeing people she actually hasn't argued with this week, she can probably stay for a little while.

"Watch out for the grasshoppers," Rory called absently, waving and wincing at Aeryn.

Aeryn looks down at the floor automatically. "I don't think I know what that is," she says.

Anakin glanced up, gave Aeryn a small smile, then went back to watching Rory with a worried look on his face.

She gives a small smile back, shrugging one shoulder in Rory's direction as if saying "wtf."

Joxer, distinctly barefoot, wandered into the common room. He seemed slightly down, but not terminally depressed or anything.

"Hey," he said. "Anyone else think there's a frog problem?"

"Well, I kind of think there's a grasshopper and blood-instead-of-water and gnat and disgusting skin condition problem as well, but since I'm apparently insane you probably don't want to listen to me," Rory said.

"Hey, as long as it's not raining glass shards or caltrops, I'm okay," Joxer said. "You really think the water is turning into blood?"

Dean was wandering and ducked his head into the second floor common room when he heard voices that weren't ribbiting or mewing.

"So frogs, huh?" he said by way of greeting.

"Yeah, frogs," Joxer said with a nod. "Hey Alec. You get some new clothes?"

"Dean, not Alec," Dean said, wondering if that would eventually stop happening. He looked at the guy; he hadn't met him but did vaguely recall seeing him in the gym last weekend. "Weren't you getting your ass kicked by Callisto last Saturday?"

"And grasshoppers and gnats and storms, oh my," Rory replied. "But those only exist in my head apparently."

Dean raised an eyebrow. "Waking nightmare thing is still spreading, huh?"

Anakin gave Dean a small wave from where he was sitting on the couch next to Rory. "Hey," he said.

Tim stopped in to see who was about. "Hey." he greeted all and sundry.

Rory totally couldn't see who was talking, due to the fact that the room had gone dark for her. "Hi?" she ventured.

Tim couldn't quite tell if he'd met thsi person before but the voice sounded familiar. "Hey, I'm Tim, have we met?"
