3rd Floor Common Room [Friday Night]

Still leery of the energy emanating from the 2nd Floor Common Room, Bridge decides to move up a floor. He's sprawled on a couch, reading a book he'd bought from the Book Fair, with several other books spread out on the couch around him.

Anders totally sticks his tongue out at the cover of the book. "My head is so not disgusting. I showered a couple of hours ago!"

"But what about your thoughts, dude?" Bridge asks teasingly. "Are *they* all clean?"

"Never," says Anders cheerfully, and takes a big bite of cupcake.

"Yeah-huh," Bridge nods.

Anders just smirks. "Is there a problem with that?"

"No," Bridge shrugs. He may have muttered something about 'unless you're out in the woods', though.

Anders raises an eyebrow at the muttered comment but doesn't ask. "Okay, good. 'cause dude, I'm sixteen. For the next two weeks or so anyway. I don't think I'm supposed to have not-dirty thoughts."

"So you finally figured out when your birthday falls on Earth's calendar, then?"

"Yup. The twenty-second." Anders nods. "Had to get a computer program to help me figure it out, though, 'cause I sure as frak wasn't gonna calculate it in my head."

"Cool," Bridge grins, and then looks dismayed. "Aw, man. I guess this means I have to get you a present..." he says dramatically.

"Oh, no," Anders says just as dramatically. "Whatever will you do?"

"I dunno," Bridge says, tapping his chin. "But it sure would help if I had a friend who was good at, like, making stuff or something."

"Damn, and we don't know anyone like that." Anders shakes his head sadly.

"It's a damn shame," Bridge says. "'Cause I bet I could've got them to make something really cool."

"That dispenses candy, even." Anders sighs. "Oh well."

"Guess I'll just have to pick up something at All & Sundries for you, or whatever."

"Dude, I would be happy with a cupcake. Or maybe a baseball cap."

Bridge shakes his head. "Nuh-uh. You're getting something really cool. Well, not that baseball caps or cupcakes aren't, but you know what I mean. I'm putting *thought* into this, dude."

Anders frowns. "Dude, you really don't have to, seriously."

Bridge sighs. "I have been through this once today already, sort of. I want to do it. So I will." He says, crossing his arms and looking sternly at Anders.

Anders holds his hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay, dude, I give. Whatever you wanna do, okay? I'll be fine with it."
