Third Floor Common Room, Sunday brunch-ish

Omelette time. After a week with Cafe Fina closed, Walter was willing to wait on other people again. At least after a fashion. In this case it meant that he had the appropriate setup for omelettes of almost any variety, a happy hellpuppy underfoot, and a good mood.

He flopped down on the couch, turned on the TV, and found something on the History Channel that wasn't about WWII or war at all for a change. Hurrah for Leonardo da Vinci for distracting the History Channel execs from war for a little while.

"The test is in the tasting, of course." Walter added the peppers and smiled over at Stark. "How has the summer been for you so far?"

"Good, so far. I like my workshops. I'm not very good at the baking, but it's fun to try. And everything has been at least edible so far," he added with a grin. "Dada is very strange. But I like that. And you? How is your summer?"

"I think I got the badness taken care of at the beginning of the summer," Walter said with a wry smile.

"Since then, things have been very good. Dada is definitely very strange, but enjoyable. First Aid is useful, sex ed is also very strange but enjoyable, and Professor Ted tells some very Dada campfire stories."

"That's good, that things have improved since the beginning of the summer," Stark said. "First Aid is good to know, yes. I've always thought so. And do you tell your own Dada campfire stories too?"

Walter shook his head. "I took my turn telling a story, but it wasn't Dada. Just the story of a ghost who eats people's food."

"I never met a ghost who could eat food," Stark said. "Was it a true story? Or something you made up?"

"It was a story people told back home and they swore it was true, but I never saw him, so I can't say. But I've seen so many odd things that I also can't say that it isn't true.

Have you met many ghosts?"

"Many?" Stark stopped to think about that. "Not really. A few. Some. None lately though."

"I have never met any ghosts." Walter frowned and considered that before amending, "At least not that I know of. I suppose you could meet a ghost on the street and not know it if they looked alive."

"I would know. I always do," Stark said. "I don't know if you could tell right away. Maybe."

"I don't know if I would or not. With this place being the way it is, maybe I'll find out."

"Ghosts here would not surprise me. There are people here back from the dead, so why not ghosts?"
