Roof, Sunday night

Feeling somewhat restless, Bel headed up to the roof for a cigarette. Maybe that would clear his mind and get him to relax.

Piper, once again, wandered up to the roof. She figured Bel was here when she didn't find him in his room.

"Hey," she greeted.

"Hey, Piper," Bel said, exhaling a lungful of smoke. "What are you doing up here?"

"Looking for you actually," Piper replied. "How are you tonight?"

"A little disturbed. Feeling left out of things," Bel said. He blinked in surprise, unsure why he had just admitted that to Piper.

"Feeling left out of what?" Piper asked, wondering if this had anything to do with what he could be hiding from Phoebe.

"Apparently half the school went off to fight mummies last night," Bel said. "I would've helped if I'd known." He shrugged. "Oh well."

"Oh, I heard about that. I bet I could have blown some of those mummies up," Piper added.

"How are things with Phoebe?" she continued, deciding she should start getting to the point of why she is here.

"She thinks I'm cheating on her with Veronica," Bel responded. Again with the not knowing why he said that.

"I talked to Veronica about it when I suspected. I believed her when she told me nothing was going on." Piper hadn't meant to say that, but she knew she was under the spell's influence as well.

"Phoebe thinks you're hiding things from her. Are you?"

"Yes," Bel said. "What the fuck?" he muttered. He certainly didn't want to tell Piper that.

Piper stared at him intently. "And what is it you're hiding from her?"

Bel tried in vain to stop the words from coming out. "About how I'm afraid I'm losing control of the demon in me. And about how I feel about Angel." He looked at Piper in horror.

Piper stared at Bel, shocked. "What do you mean how you feel about Angel?"

This was definitely not what she was expecting to hear.

Callisto decided she didn't want to stay cooped up inside and made her way up to the roof. "Evening."

"Hey, Callisto," Bel said. "Feeling better?"

Callisto shrugged. "Not really, no."

Blink-blink.

"Your invisible friend not beating you up anymore?" Bel said.

"No, she's gone," Callisto replied. "Of course to get rid of her I had to slaughter the entire school population, Angel, and my mother."

More blinking, and a quick change od subject. "So how have you been?"

"I've been better," Bel said. "I just confessed a bunch of things I didn't want Piper to know to her, and I've been sulking because I didn't get to go mummy hunting." Now Bel blinked. "Um, er, I mean, what were you saying about killing people?"

"Monday night, I slaughtered everyone at the school," Callisto replied. "Luckily for you, it was only in my head. Rory's fault. Pity you didn't go, I might actually have have succeeded in suicide by proxy then."

If it was possible to stare at your own mouth in disbelief, Callisto would have. "So...what kind of things?"

"About how I'm worried about losing control of the demon part of me and about how I feel about Angel." Okay, about now, Bel wanted to throw himself off the roof.

"Don't worry, I'll help kill you if it comes to that," Callisto said then focused on the important part. "What do you mean, how you feel bout Angel?"

"That I have feelings for him and you're going to kill me now aren't you?" Bel babbled, taking a step back, wishing he could stop talking. He was going to have to kill Piper.

Bel laughed. "Yeah right. Like he'd see me when he's fixated on Logan. So, um, what was that about killing people?"
