5th floor common room, Wednesday morning

River had discovered how to make popcorn, and she mad them in a lidless pan. This wasn't a mistake, as it wasn't as if she was stupid. It was just a lot more interesting that way.

Before workshops, Tyler went for a walk up to the fifth floor. He smiled slightly when he saw River, wondering why he felt like he had promised her something.

"Your popcorn's getting all over the floor," he observed.

"That's the fun part," River said with a very serious expression. "How's your friend?"

Tyler tilted his head, watchign the popcorn explode. "I guess it is interesting," she said. "And what friend?"

His posture had slightly shifted; he was now on alert.

River gave him a frowning look. "The imaginary one you talked about. You never mentioned his name." The watched the popcorn fly through the air.

Tyler's face and body went very still. "I never told anybody here about that."

"Yes, you did, but you don't remember," River said. Well, she knew that he had told her, and she could sense that he didn't remember. "You don't want me to know?" She knew the answer to that too, but it felt nicer to ask.

"Good morning all oh hey it's raining popcorn!"

"Morning. Catch some if you want." River looked at flying popcorn.

Pippi grabbed a glass from the cupboard and held it out in front of her. She managed to catch a few kernels in her glass as it mounded up on the floor around her.

"Hmmmmm." she said eating the few bits from the glass. "I think they taste better when they've been airborne!"

"And it's more fun," River said, grinning.

"This is very true." she said chasing the flying popcorn around the room with her glass.

River added more popcorn to the pan as the airborne ones were beginning to subside.

Bridge wanders up to the fifth floor, for no real reason other than he felt like being on the fifth floor. He pokes his head into the common room just in time to get beaned by a flying kernel of popcorn.

"Hey, people."

River looked at him, frowning. Then she grinned. "You're Bridge. I've heard about you." She caught a popcorn between her thumb and finger and gave it to him. "Have a popcorn."

Bridge takes the popcorn, but tilts his head at River quizzically. "You've heard about me?"

"Xander," River explained. "I painted a fish on his door."

"Oh!" Bridge grins. "I saw the fish. It's very nice."

"Hi Bridge!"

"Hey, Pippi!" Bridge waves. "What's up?"

"Popcorn!" she said as it rained down around them.

"This is very true," Bridge says, looking up and attempting to catch a kernel or two in his mouth.

Tyler nodded. "Bridge, right? Last time I saw you you were a ferret."

"That's me, dude," Bridge grins. "I got un-ferreted last week."

"I see that," Tyler nodded. "We probably wouldn't be talking if you still were one."

He scratched his nose. "Or if we did, it would be a one-sided conversation."

"True," Bridge says. "That was actually probably the most annoying thing about being a ferret- not being able to *talk* to people."
