Anakin? Had time on his hands.

Anakin? Had learned how to make paper starfighters.

This? Was a bad combination.

Sitting on the couch, he controlled seven of the paper missiles through the Force as they flew around the room.

Why yes, he was making little shooting noises as they chased each other. And the crash and burn sound, too.

He just didn't realize he was doing it.

Someone want to point it out?

"Oops," Anakin said. "Not good." He ran his hand through his hair. "We don't have vampires where I come from. When the school tried to protect us from them, I didn't understand what the guy on the stick was for."

"Yeah, way not good," Dawn made a face. "Guy on the stick? Oh...wow."

Anakin blushed again. "Yeah. Comparative Religions class helped me out with that one. Oops."

"Not oops if you didn't know," Dawn shrugged. "You learned, right?"

"And fast," Anakin said, nodding. "You don't want to know what happened to that first thing of holy water."

She grinned. "No, I think maybe I do."

"Drank it," Anakin said, grinning.

"And proved that you weren't a vampire, so that's a plus," Dawn suggested.

"And I wasn't thirsty for a while, either, so it served two purposes," Anakin added.

"See? So, not dumb. My sister killed a vampire that way once, but I'm not supposed to know about it."

"But that's what Buffy does, right? Chosen One called to kill the vampires but good, et cetera? How were you not supposed to know what she did?"

"They tried to keep me out of it. Both her and my mother, once my mom knew."

"That's dumb," Anakin said, frowning. "Wait. The fighting part, or knowing about vampires at all part?"

"Both," Dawn looked at one of the planes.

"Yup. That's dumb," Anakin said, nodding. "And dangerous. That's how you end up inviting dizty vampires into the house, right?"

"Thank you!" Dawn gestured emphatically. "But noooooo, must protect the naive young girl who in no way has been eavesdropping and knows half the story anyway."

Okay, so she hadn't really existed back then, but that's how she remembered it, so that's what she was going with.

"And half the story's just about enough to get you killed," Anakin pointed out. He shrugged. "Not that I've ever listened in on something I wasn't supposed to. Because that's wrong and stuff."

"Oh yeah. Totally and completely wrong." Dawn glanced quickly at the ceiling to make sure no lightning bolts were incoming. "And it all turned out for the better, eventually. But wow, the lecture was boring."

"Did it start out with 'I'm very disappointed in you' and end with 'don't do it again?'" Anakin asked. "Because if I had a credit for every time I've heard that, I'd be able to buy a small moon."
