"Good. The other one went riffling through my head, once. I'd like to avoid that happening again." Parker made a face. "I take it this one is nuts, but nicely so?"

Xander frowned thoughtfully. "Well, she did a little riffling, but I don't think she could help it. I think she's a little like Bridge without his gloves on."

Hmm. Now why did that echo weirdly in his head?

"Hunh. I think I'll just hang a 'keep out' sign at the front of my brain, and hope she can respect it." Parker looked thoughtful, then asked, "How many pairs of gloves *does* he have, anyway?"

"I...dunno, why?" Xander cocked his head. "Maybe only the one pair besides his swimming ones now, because it took him a while to find replacements after he turned back from being a ferret."

"Just curious. I'd think he'd have a million, just in case. Maybe I'll buy him some, next time I'm on a spree." She grinned. "Unbirthday presents for everyone! You can get boots, like half the other people I shop for."

Xander eyed his feet, currently clad in beat-up tennis shoes. "Oh...kay. Size 12. Nothing with spike heels; they make my ankles look fat."
