School hallway - Locker 327 - Thursday, late afternoon

The locker was quiet today as it had been for quite some time. Maybe it was hibernating or possibly storing up its energy for something big. It was impossible to say.

Walter stopped in front of the locker and eyed it warily, waiting for Pippi to join him.

Luckily, her business with Barbossa hadn't taken as long as all that and she was able to join Walter lickety splitz.

"So... Back where we started." she said walking up.

"Just like old times," Walter said, smiling slightly. "All we need is a storm of cherry blossoms, preferably with a Nadia inside."

"That'd be nice ya." she said.

And waited a moment.

Nothing.

"So..."

"So..." Walter did the obvious and tried the locker's handle, pulling firmly.

The locker... did nothing.

"It's Deja vu all over again."

"Why am I not surprised?" Walter pulled harder before rapping the locker with his knuckles. "Open up!"

There was a deep echo from inside the locker as Walter knocked on it, but the door remained shut.

"Open up please?"

Hey, it worked once before.

Not this time though.

The locker remained silent.

"It's doing it, isn't it?" Walter muttered to himself, giving the locker door a kick. "It's just going to act coy and not do anything."

"Kinda like you in that regard I think."

Walter looked away from the locker. "Excuse me?"

"If somebody came along expecting you to be their monkey... And you weren't at work? What would you do?"

Walter cocked his head, really not understanding her point. "Monkey?"

"If somebody wanted something from you that you didn't want to give. Like they expected you to be butlery for them or if some goofball was always running up to you and saying 'Oh oh! Walter! Do that thing with the wires again!'"

"That's not the same. I don't want it to blow cherry blossoms at us again. I want it to let Nadia out!"

"Ya hear that?" she says to the Locker, rapping on it lightly with a knuckle.

"We're not here because we expect you to entertain us, we just want our friend back. Cough her up please!"

The locker remained resolutely silent except for the deep echo as Pippi knocked on the door.

"I suppose if I do something like cut off its door, I might end up opening a permanent and dangerous hole into another dimension, because things here are never that easy." Walter scowled at the locker, obviously wanting to do it anyway.

"I'll give it a little more time before I go that route."

"If she's not out soon we'll get her out." Pippi nodded.

Walter cast another baleful look on the locker before turning away. "Did you hear that, locker? We want her back unharmed."

He scowled as he walked away. "I think I'm going to go hit things (http://tyler-gone.livejournal.com/5480.html?thread=115816#t115816). Thanks for coming along, Pippi."

"Of course. See ya." she said as she watched him go.

Time to find Pip and see if they can enact operation "Get Walter Drunk".
