School hallway - Locker 327 - Friday, mid afternoon

The locker isn't as quiet today. Periodically, the door would burst open and loud cheering and possibly singing could be heard coming from inside. Once, a souvenir ball marked 'FIFA' bounced out. If anyone tried to approach, however, the door would slam shut and go silent.

After another night of is roommate being gone, Jamie decided that some action must be taken.

After leaving a dupe in charge at Empire, he make a visit to Kwik Stop where he had loaded up on supplies before heading over to Locker 327.

"Hey Locker 327!" Jamie greeted the mostly inanimate object with a wave. "I was wondering if you'd be willing to make a trade. My roommate Nadia is in there. Would you be willing to release for...."

Jamie reached into his backpack and pulled out a candy bar.

"A Zagnut bar? Crunchy peanut butter covered in toasted coconut! MMMMMM-MMM!"

The locker ignored him and his Zagnut bar. Maybe it didn't like coconut.

"Okay fine..." Jamie said reaching into his backpack and pulling out more items. "I've got Cheesy Poofs, Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs and best of all a frozen Grape Judas!"

Jamie placed all the goodies in front of the locker.

"C'mon. You can turn down all these goodies."

There was a small vibration of the door, but it did not open. It was almost as if the locker was waiting for Jamie to back away further.

Too bad Jamie isn't psychic.

"Not enough?" Jamie asked. "Okay. Fine I was saving this as a surprise but..."

Jamie once again reaches into his back and pulls out three CD's.

"I've got Rob Thomas, "Ever The Same", "Lorne! Live at the Tropicana!" and best of all... "Trini Lopez sings his Greatest Hits!"

The locker was tired of waiting for him to back off. The door popped open and a soccer ball bounced out, aiming straight for Jamie's head.

The ball bounced off Jamie's head and the impact sent him crashing to the floor creating two more duplicates.

"Well that was rude," said one duplicate

"I mean really. Who would turn down a cheesy poof?" asked the other.

"Be nice guys, it still has Nadia in there," Jamie said reaching into his bag and pulling out a couple of magazines. "Okay. Final Offer. PORN!"

Jamie laid down the magazines in front of Locker 327. "We've got Playboy which features Miss June whose turn-ons include padlocks, textbooks and cheesecake. We also have Playgirl which features the centerfold of that new leader guy from Wormhole Xtreme. And finally we have an issue of 'BoyKissy'. I don't think I have to tell you what that is about."

The locker door flew open and a whirlwind blew all three Jamies back. It picked up all of the offerings and swirled them through the air as if examining them. The food (except for the Zagnut) disappeared into the locker as did the CDs. The magazines, however, were turned into confetti and rained down on the Jamies when the locker door slammed shut again. How absurd to think a locker would have any interest in human porn. Pfff.

"Oh this is just getting mean," Jamie said as he picked porn confetti off his head. "That thing shredded perfectly good porn! Somewhere there's a thirteen year old that's going to be very disappointed."

One of the duplicates took a more direct approach and started hammering his fist on the locker. "Hey! We had a deal! Give Nadia back you poor excuse for a book receptacle!"

The other duplicate then reached into the back pack and pulled out a pocket knife and opened the can opener attachment.

"All right 327. We were nice. Now? We mean business."

Holding the can opener in a threatening manner the duplicate headed toward the locker.

The locker swung open and a whirlwind spun the Jamie hammering on the locker off down the hallway. The Jamie holding the can opener was sucked into the locker and found himself... inside a locker.

The porn confetti danced around the remaining Jamie again until the locker slammed shut again.

The duplicate who was spun down the hallway collapsed to the floor and did his best not to throw up as the one in the locker started hammering on the door and began shouting at the top of his lungs to be let out.

Jamie pulled more porn confetti out of his hair and scowled at the locker. "Hey! We tried being nice! We even offered you a Zagnut! Now give Nadia back to us now or it's really going to be ugly!"

Jamie punctuated that final statement by throwing the scorned Zagnut bar at the locker door.

If the locker could have blown a raspberry at him, it would have. Instead, it swung open quickly, spit the CDs back at him and swung shut again.

"HOW DARE YOU TREAT TRINI LOPEZ THAT WAY!" Jamie shouted as the duplicate let the other dupe out of the locker and joined Jamie.

Jamie turned to the other two duplicates with a grim look on his face. "This means war gentlemen. Get the spray paint out of the backpack. We'll see how how 327 feels after we paint it pink."

The duplicates grabbed the paint cans and began shaking them up as they headed to the locker door.

The door opened and another whirlwind blew all three of them down the hallway. Also? It totally stole their spray paint. The locker door slammed shut and was once again quiet.

The three Jamies looked at each other.

"It stole all the food."

"Except the Zagnut."

"It shredded all the porn."

"And totally rejected Trini Lopez."

"Gentlemen? Let's show this locker how we do things downtown."

The three Jamies start yelling like nuts and start beating the locker door with their fists with the occasional well-timed kick.

The locker sprung open again, swept up two of the Jamies and slammed shut again.

Jamie stared at the locker in shock.

"You! You! You can't do that! That's not fair!" Jamie whined as he backed away. "I gave you food! I gave you music! I gave you porn! Oh this isn't over 327! Not by a long shot! You will rue the day that you ever messed with Jamie Madrox the Multiple Man!"

The locker just ignored him.

"Rue the day!" Jamie shouted in a strained voice as he stomped away.

There might be sniffling.

No one had bothered to warn Briar about Locker 327 during the first few weeks of school, so he simply walked by it, humming a little.

Without any kind of warning, the locker swung open and sucked Briar in. Because it is contrary like that.
