The Gremlins Game - Cheerleaders/Audience (Second Half)

After the break, it's time for the second half!

Players are back on the court and cheerleaders are all about spirit.

Dribble, pass, shoot, SCORE!
Wait, there's just a little more!
Defense, Offense, we have no doubt!
That's what we are all about!
GO Gremlins!

Walter found a spot to wait for his friends. It's amazing how one can find a non-jostling spot if one looks properly.

Nadia went to go change out of the mascot costume as quickly as possible. If Jack didn't know it was her, than maybe not too many other people did, either.

Also, the mask had made her face sweat, so she felt kind of gross.

She spotted Walter and waved on the way back out of the locker rooms. "Hey,"

Walter waved back and smiled. "Hey. You did brilliantly!"

Nadia shook her head. "You're just saying that. But thank you."

Walter made a dismissive tch sound at her. "Not everyone could do those acrobatics you were doing. I think you were brilliant. Especially for someone who spent the past few days in locker 327."

"I actually got quite a workout in there," Nadia shrugged. "But thank you."

"You're welcome. Do you think I can get some of the celebrity's time later this evening?"

Nadia nodded, pushing a damp strand of hair out of her face. "I'd like to get a shower, first, but yes, of course."

"That works well, actually," Walter said. "I'm supposed to see Seras after she finishes work. Then I'll be all yours."

Nadia tilted her head. "Oh yeah? Tell her I said 'hi' then. Anything in particular, or just bonding with your fellow Britan?"

Walter made a face, not wanting to not tell Nadia, but having a promise to hold to as well. "Something personal to her. I'd tell you if I could."

Nadia frowned, but nodded. "Okay. Well I'll see you later, then." She hoped everything was okay with the other girl. Maybe she'd check up on her at some point.

Walter was relieved she didn't press him on the matter. He held her secrets, too.

"Where shall I find you?"

Pippi bounces up.

"My team lost." she said some how sounding at once both pouty and yet still cheerful.

"There's always next time?" Walter tried as a response.

He'd be terrible at team sports because he didn't really believe that sentiment for himself.

Pippi shrugged.

"Eh. It was fun anyway." she said, "Didja see? We threw Janet into the air!"

"Yes!" Walter grinned. "You all did brilliantly!"

"Yay!"

"Yes, yay." Walter nodded and took her picture again. "I'm going to go see Seras and then see Nadia. I think I'll miss you at the after party."

Pippi pretended to pout.

Walter didn't pretend not to be buying it.

Because he wasn't buying it. "Then let me give you your congratulatory hug now."

"Oooooookay." she said holding her arms out to him.

Walter stepped in and lifted her up for a swinging hug. "Congratulations."

"Weeeee!"

Walter grinned and swung her a little more before setting her down on her feet. "Have fun at the after party."
