Sunday Night, 3rd Floor Common Room

Tyler sprawled on the couch with a bag of Doritos and the remote. He was watching a rerun of The Z-Cases and shouting at Wolf and Lana to get more powerful flashlights if they were going to run around in dark places like idiots.

Tim entered the common room, and plopped down on the couch. "Is she still stubbornly refusing to believe what's right in front of her?" Tim asked.

He was feeling a little confused about his encounter with Artie (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/917156.html?thread=36025764#t36025764) in Caritas a short while ago. Maybe the confusing convolutedness of this show would help.

"Yep," Tyler said. "Logic logic logic. You would think she'd get bored with it."

Tim shook his head. "Sometimes I think she just automatically refutes anything he says. He could say, Lana the sun sets in the west, and she say Wolf that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard."

Tyler nodded. "And then she'd do some experiment and find out the sun really did set in the west, and she'd argue that it was a special case."

Pippi flounced down to the 3rd floor to see what could be seen.

Apparently, that would be an episode of the Z-Cases...

"Oh! What episode is this?" she asked vaulting over the back of the couch to plop down on the other side of Tim.

"The really gory one with the incest and the deformed people," Tyler said, eyes glued to the screen. One of the aforementioned deformed people lumbered across the screen, and he gestured illustratively. "See?"

"Ooooh, the one with the Swan (http://schwicky.net/xfiles/episodes/4/home/) family." she said, "Ya... This one is creeeeeepy."

She opened up the backpack she had with her and pulled out a brown paper bag.

"Popcorn?"

"Sure," Tyler said, reaching for a handful.

He shuddered at the screen. "The part at the very end where they drive off always makes my skin crawl. In a good way."

Tim waved to Pippi. "I've never seen this one before." he said.

"It's pretty icky!" she said cheerfully. "It's one of my favorites!"

"I've only seen the first season." Tim said. "But I've looked up a few episode guides on line. My favorite is TV With No Mercy."

Alphonse wandered by after another fairly uneventful day, about to flop down on one of the couches, but he got a good look at the television and lifted a brow. "What's this?"

"Z-Cases," Tyler answered. "Show about FBI agents solving supernatural crimes. Have you seen it before? It's kind of old."

Alphonse shook his head. "Not really. I haven't watched much television to be honest. What kind of stuff happens in this show?"

"Everything, man," Tyler said. "It's like if they made a show about Fandom. Mostly it's about aliens, but there are episodes with vampires, ghosts, zombies, psychics ... and some that are just plain gross. This is one of the gross ones."

Tyler gestured at the TV. "Watching this," he said. "Wondering why Coach Bluth calls you Pee Cup. It was better than Sock Love."

"He thought I was on drugs so I gave him a urine sample," Jamie said with a smirk. "He wasn't to hip to the idea."
